Before joining Anapol, Julie worked as an attorney for 8 years at Sacks & Weston in Philadelphia/Jenkintown. She concentrated her practice on complex litigation, class/mass actions, antitrust, estate planning and domestic relations matters. She assisted in In Re Vioxx Litigation in both state court in New Jersey and the federal MDL litigation in New Orleans. At Sacks & Weston, Julie was involved in investigating, preparing, litigating and/or settling cases involving the following drugs/medical devices: Neurontin/gabapentin, Serzone, Zicam, Chantix, Mirapex, Requip, Reglan, DePuy, Hydroxycut, Fosamax, Vytorin and Levaquin. Her previous firm was responsible for the largest single landowner verdict in the history of the country against Exxon for land contamination, helping to pioneer N.O.R.M. litigation (Naturally Occurring Radioactive Material). They also concluded cases with almost every oil company in the world and represented the European Union in tobacco litigation. Julie has been successful for her clients in both federal and state court in matters ranging from child custody to Sherman Act violations. She most recently settled a fraud case in federal court before the Honorable Eduardo Robreno against a Korean Defendant. During her time at Sacks & Weston, she was an active member of the Montgomery County Arbitration Panel and a member of the Montgomery County Bar Association. Because of her experience, Julie is trusted by her clients, with whom she has an excellent rapport, and has cultivated positive relationships with attorneys all over the country, as well as internationally.
Julie received her Bachelor's degree from West Virginia University in 1999, where she received Semester Honors and made the illustrious President's List for obtaining a 4.0 GPA. Julie attended law school at the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, graduating with a Juris Doctor in 2003. While in law school, she clerked at Leech Tishman Fuscaldo & Lampl, LLC, concentrating primarily in the areas of tax law, creation of corporate entities and estate planning and administration.
Julie is admitted to practice in Maryland, Pennsylvania, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania and the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. She is a member of the Pennsylvania Association for Justice, the American Association for Justice, the Maryland State Bar Association and the Philadelphia Trial Lawyers Association.
