Loren A. Walmer

Mr. Loren Walmer is a native of Lebanon County, Pennsylvania, where he attended Eastern Lebanon County High School.

After high school he served abroad for two years as a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. After his return to the United States, Mr. Walmer received an Associate's Degree with honors from Ohlone College in Fremont, California in June of 1994. He received a Bachelor’s Degree from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah in April of 1997,  where he received the Kenneth and William Gardner Scholarship for academic excellence. He received his J.D.  graduated from the Harrisburg Campus of Widener University School of Law in December 2000.

During law school Loren served as a legal intern in the office of State Representative Thomas A. Tangretti while Representative Tangretti was up for re-election. Loren also worked as an intern for the Pennsylvania Office of Chief Counsel and was assigned to the Department of Environmental Protection, then later to the Public School Employees Retirement System. During his final year of law school he worked full time for the Department of Labor and Industry, for the Unemployment Compensation Board of Review and also assisted the Bureau of Labor Law Compliance and the State Workers’ Insurance Fund.

After graduation from Widener University School of Law, Loren worked as a law clerk for the Workers’ Compensation Appeal  worked for an Allentown Law Firm specializing in insurance subrogation and medical malpractice.  

He has practiced in over twenty counties in Pennsylvania and has managed  cases in twenty states. Loren then left the medical malpractice field and went to work for a prestigious 25 lawyer firm in the Lehigh Valley, where his practice expanded to include most aspects of business litigation.  Loren has continued to expand his area of experience and has successfully litigated workers' compensation, unemployment compensation, estate planning, family law and many aspects of civil litigation. 

Loren has been married for fifteen years and has four children and has provided the sole income for his family of six throughout his education experience. Loren is active in community service and was decorated with the Eagle Scout award in 1988. Loren has served in many capacities in scouting including as a scoutmaster. He has also worked in the adaptive aquatics program helping physically or mentally handicapped children overcome their fear of water and learn to swim. He has volunteered as a math tutor at a community college. More recently he has worked as a soccer coach and a basketball coach in the South Parkland Youth Association. Loren currently serves as a youth leader in his church.
