John P. Muncer

With more than 35 years of legal experience in multiple practice areas, Attorney John P. Muncer serves as a noted Pennsylvania criminal defense attorney and a powerful advocate for his clients. After receiving his J.D. from Temple University School of Law in 1984, Attorney Muncer spent over 20 years working as a prosecutor, focusing on sex crimes, assaults, drug offenses, homicides, and other serious crimes. In that time period, he personally prosecuted more than 100 criminal trials with a full jury.

Because of this unique background, Attorney Muncer knows exactly how the prosecution creates an airtight case strategy against the accused. Now, as a criminal defense lawyer, he can rely on his experience to fight back against these same tactics. He also has vast experience in civil law and family law, maintaining a private practice throughout his time as a prosecutor. From complex divorces to child custody and support issues to contract negotiations, he has handled a wide range of cases and legal disputes over the years.

Attorney Muncer has also spent over 15 years working as an adjunct professor at his undergraduate alma mater, Susquehanna University, and he continues to lecture at colleges throughout the state.
