More like make a deal than fight your case. Sure, he was better than your appointed public defender.. in retrospect I would have hired an out of town attorney for my Lancaster case and not some local guy who is friends with everyone (including the guys arresting you) in a town of 50,000 people. I wis...h I had never taken the deal and just told Alan to bust his ass and fight the case like he was paid to do.

I went to talk to Alan about 10 years ago with some felony assault and prohibitive offensive weapons charges. He listened to every word I said, asked me what I needed to walk away with, and told me what it would cost me. I retained him immediately and so glad I did. I ended up with 1 misdemeanor aggr...avated assault ($150.00 fine) and no weapons charges.. It was awesome! His staff was very personable and helpful, and Alan was very knowledgeable, friendly, and effective. I have recommended him to others over the years and I hope they got equally great results.

Attorney Alan Goldberg is a well know attorney and his name use to carry weight, but that was years back. I retained this attorney when my boyfriend and I were charged with possession of drugs with intent to deliver. Attorney Goldberg would not listen to anything I had to say, and told me I need to..., "make a deal and testify against my boyfriend or both of us would be going to jail for a long time!". This attorney was all about deal deal deal, an easy fight and an easy earning! Would not even consider that an illegal search occurred and constitutional rights were violated pretty clearly. If I would have listened to this man's advice, my boyfriend would be locked up for a decade or more and all my seized assets I worked hard for would be gone, but instead I decided to get a second opinion and found a lawyer who listened to me and seen right away that what occurred was an illegal search and seizure. All charges were dropped against my boyfriend and me too and all property is being returned to us. Just because an attorney has experience it does not make him aggressive and if someone is not learned in legal matters, an attorney can tell the client anything and the easier the work involved in fighting the case, the easier the case is handled and money in the bank.
