Don't trust this lawyer

I retained this attorney to assist with a house closing last year, at closing I paid the required taxes on the property and $700 dollars for a land survey. Fast froward eight months my taxes have not been paid I am getting late fees every month and this attorney's response (when he answers his phon...e) is "I know, I didn't pay them yet, but I will". In addition, I have never seen the survey I paid $700.00 for, however he keeps telling me he will send it in the mail. Now I am forced to sue my own attorney. I would stay away from Mr. Kirkwood.

Hired within the last 3-5 years

I hired this attorney for a personal injury matter and he would never get back to me. I kept paying him money and was told not to worry and I have not heard from him or had my case settled.

Something must have happened

I can't recommend Mr. Kirkwood after reading the other reviews. But 13 years ago he did my closing where the buyer tried to walk away. He skillfully made him purchase my house when the buyer was at the closing making all sorts of claims that might negate the sale. I don't know what happened here as h...e was always prompt with me, courteous, and knowledgeable. He was in an office in Westfield, NJ at that time. Sorry to read those other incidents.
