In second marriage situations it is very important for both of you to have Wills and to understand joint ownership. If he does not have a will his probate assets will be split between you (50%) and his children(50%); any joint assets will be distributed to the joint owner; any assets with beneficiary designations will be distributed to the beneficiary.
