Description: Plaintiff injured (fractured femur and elbow which both required surgery and pinning) in construction site accident. Plaintiff was standing on flat-bed truck holding garden hose from sewer flush truck waiting for water to come out so he could hose off water main pipes. Ice had formed in the line due to faulty maintainance and there were after-market modifications to the truck that overrode safety features. When co-employee applied maximum water pressure to garden hose, the ice abruptly dislodged and catapaulted plaintiff off flat-bed truck onto ground. Case settled for $225,000 for pain & suffering.
