    Description:
    Mother had obtained a modification of custody because father had failed to engage in visitation and had alcohol and drug abuse problems. Father countered that Mother's living situation was not in the child's best interests. I was able to convice the Appellate Division that the Family Court had correctly analyzed the situation and that it would be better for the child if Mother exercised sole custody.

    Description:
    Father sought to arrange visitation. The trial court used unsworn testimony from mother to deny father's application without providing father with counsel. The Third Department reversed the trial court holding that the trial court lacked a sound and substantial basis for its ruling.

    Description:
    While we were not able to reach the client's result, we were able to address the client's needs on an expedited basis. Here, the client had given a letter of credit to pay for goods which turned out to be severely damaged. The case went from a state court action to a decision in the Second Circuit within six weeks.
