You need to determine if a lawsuit was ever filed in court. If so, there are ways to look the case up online to see what happened to it. If not, more information would be needed to determine whether or not the statute of limitations has expired. At a minimum, the attorney should have sent you a letter explaining why he was closing the file.

My recommendation would be to sit down with the Assistant District Attorney assigned to the case if you haven't already done so and express your concerns as only the District Attorney's Office can determine which charges to bring. If medical bills is a concern, ask to also speak with the crime victims assistance personnel.

Underinsured coverage is from your own policy. It is typically triggered when your own um coverage exceeds the tortfeasor's liability coverage and then you can recover the difference between the two. It also usually requires a notice to your carrier of an intention to make a claim against your own policy. It is best to discuss this with an attorney.

All of your daughter's medical bills should have been paid through no-fault. The delay makes things more difficult to prove the causal connection but not impossible and the statute of limitations has certainly not run in light of your daughter' age.

It is extremely unlikely that any criminal charges will ever be brought in connection with the case. As for the civil demand, I advise all clients not to pay and see if they ever commence litigation which they rarely ever do.

Much depends on what the conditions of probation set by the court say as the judge could have ordered that you can not remove it or even drive at all for that matter until your probation officer says so. You should have been given a sheet containing the terms of probation. Additionally, if you have a cdl there could be other issues.

Initially you need to fill out a report with your local precinct. A decision will then be made whether there is enough to make an arrest. Quite frankly, if all you have is your suspicions without any actual proof it is hard to imagine an arrest resulting from the complaint. At a minimum you would need to show that this person was the only other person besides yourself who even had access to the stolen items.

You would really need to provide a bit more information to enable an accurate response. Is your son still in jail? Does he have any witnesses to say he was at a different place at the time of the alleged crime? These are just some of the initial questions, the answers to which will go a long way to getting at an accurate answer to your question.

The da has 144 hours to be fully presented to the grand jury as to at least one felony count. If that 144th hour falls on a Sunday or Saturday they have to be presented by the end of business on the Friday before.
