He forced me, a civilian-not a lawyer, to do a trial myself. Absolutely refused to allow me an adjournment to obtain counsel, even though I ON RECORD kept repeating it is my constitutional right to have representation and counsel at trial, and the court never once granted me one adjournment in this whole case which is 1 year and 3 months old. Refused to acknowledge all my defenses which were solid & by NEW YORK STATE CPL LAW the case should have been dismissed with any one of the defenses I presented. Told me it was too late to submit a motion to dismiss when I brought this up in the very beginning before trial started. Told me to stop reciting the law because he knows it. (then why wasn't he following the law???). Allowed the officer to bring a ticket into the trial that was completely different than the original. Was not the original. It was a black and white photocopy with information added and some info crossed out. The officer gave me a new citation location on the ticket he brought into court, that was false, not where he originally gave me the ticket at all. (because if he left the citation site as it was on the original ticket where it really happened, I would have been found NOT GUILTY.) The cross out on the new ticket he brought into trial is so huge and visible. The judge allowed this. The officer changed the ticket to make me guilty on purpose. The judge allowed this. No signature & no statute at all on the original ticket. Even when I had it professionally enlarged by 300% & laminated: no signature and no statute appeared at all. On the ticket the officer brought in, all the missing information that would have had the case dismissed, was magically corrected. It was not the original ticket. Again, the judge allowed this and told me "Well we are going to proceed anyway." Would not allow my photographs and maps into evidence, in which my photos and maps proved I was not guilty. Talked down to me. Violated so many of my rights. Appealing the decision and will get justice in the appellate court. Then will be a plaintiff in a federal claim. I will never forget this traumatizing experience. I have never ever been treated so awfully by anyone. Shame on this person.
