The worst case scenario is six points on your license. It will result in a fine and a $300 Driver Assessment Fee. The best case scenario is a reduction to a non-point bearing offense. Realistically, generally, an attorney lije myself can reduce it to a non-speed violation.

DO NOT EVEN ATTEMPT TO CONTACT THE POLICE OFFICER! If you want to plea bargain your best shot is with an attorney. Even without one, the Police in Suffolk do not offer deals on their own. In fact, in parts of Suffolk, at this point there are places in Suffolk which cannot be plead down at all vut require trials. I stress at this point.

You are not making it easy. Two six point violations in such a short time. The DA will likely know those three points were a plead down. He will not go easy on you. Have I done it? Yes. In those cases I showed extenuating circumstances. You should know that 3 speeds in 18 months leads to 6 month license revocation. I agree in general speed limits in NY are artificially low but mire in NYC. 55 is reasonable. Only you know the facts leading up to being stopped. If you think you have special...
