  • How do I divorce an illegal immigrant who was deported 3 years ago.. I have no idea where he is.

I haven't seen him for 3 years and I now have a family.

    Tsirina’s Answer

The question is not whether he was/is undocumented but that you don't know where he is at and thus you cannot serve him with divorce documents. Therefore you should consult with family lawyer in your state to address your concern.

  • I-485 and court hearing

I'm in removal proceedings . My i-130 was approved. And I have a court hearing next year for my i-485 . What would the judge ask us . Would she separate us and interview us again

    Tsirina’s Answer

I-485 is an application for adjustment of status, thus a respondent will be asked questions related to his/her eligibility to adjust status. It is important to have an experienced immigration attorney who could represent you in removal proceedings and have all required documents, including medical examination and affidavit of support ready for submission.

    Tsirina’s Answer

My understanding is that you don’t have an interview date. You need to hire a criminal attorney to get you the best possible deal. You also need to consult an immigration attorney who may assist your criminal lawyer and represent you at your interview. Moreover, you need to disclose your arrest.
