Next, because you were a passenger on the Staten Island Ferry which is operated by the Department of Transportation of the City of New York you need to preserve your rights to sue by filing a Notice of Claim within 90 Days of your accident.     The problem is not with the lawyers it was with a United States Supreme Court decision that basically eviscerated claims against manufacturers of medical devices. However, recently legislation has been introduced that may help you and others similarly situated. My firm is in New York City and we are closely monitoring the pending legislation.
