He means well, but self-appreciates his skills at a far higher rate than what they are. He will do more than most out there. He will try to put up a fight. Often times, the results are dismal, but the effort is there. Don't let his sometimes unscrupulous exterior fool you, Tom's not a novice.
He misrepresented agreements between me and another party to the court in a motion. When I told him I didn't want to act in bad faith, he shrugged it off, saying you basically roll the dice on a change just to see if you can get more, and that I was misunderstood bad faith. All other attorneys I spoke with disagreed, and one stated that he was both a friend of Mr. Pavics, and that Mr. Pavics is "well known for playing those types of games". Of course this complicated matters and ran up my legal fees.
Then he misrepresented to court that I hadn't paid him. This bewildered me. I had both bank and mail receipts to prove my case. I still had to waste a day and legal fees for nothing.
He represented me for a DUI. He charged 5K while knowing the law in NJ but failing to disclose that there was nothing he could legally do to help me. In other words, he stole 5K, without any remorse or insight into this ethics and financial violation.
Don't waste your time or money. This attorney is a a disgrace to the profession. Took my money and never showed up at court and did not file a motion. When asked why this occurred, he replied no one told me I had to.
