You should review the ordinance itself as written and the tape recording(s) of the public debate concerning its proposal and passage to see what basis the municipality articulated for raising the age from 18 to 21. Then, one can consider whether such makes sense or is irrational.

You should sit down with an attorney and discuss the situation fully. Also, your request for a copy of the supposed contract with the restrictive covenant should be sent in writing with some form of confirmation of receipt. There are instances where employees sign numerous documents at the inception of employment and honestly do not recall a restrictive covenant agreement. Hopefully, that is not the case here. If you have signed such an agreement, then you need to have it reviewed in terms...

It is somewhat difficult to understand your situation from the summary you provide, since there is so much information about the matter in total (obviously) and you have little space to provide a summary question. With that caveat, the first issue appears to be that your builder has breached the settlement agreement it reached with you. So, you likely have a breach of contract claim on the failure to perform under the settlement, which is a contract in and of itself. You may be able to...

I strongly suggest you consult with an attorney, face-to-face, as soon as possible. Before then, you should advise your present attorneys in writing that you do not want them to take action on your case until further advised in writing. Hopefully, this is just a misunderstanding that can be worked out. But, if it is not,...

There are judicial remedies in such a situation if the matter cannot be worked out pre-suit. A sale may be ordered by a court with the sale price determined by a court ordered valuation of the business per an independant expert. Your question is rather general though and more particulars would be helpful. I recommend that you sit down face-to-face with an attorney and discuss your circumstances. Please feel free to contact me.
