The only place I ever see a ticket nowadays is on Amtrak. With paper tickets, it is apparently too easy to change the name of the person traveling. Also who hasn't lost a paper ticket at some point? You should call the airline (or other carrier) on your itinerary and see if they have you on the passenger manifest. How are executor fees and administrative fees determinedExecutor's fees are usually strictly controlled by statute and are usually around 3% (more for smaller estates and less for larger ones). Some states allow you to petition the court for extra fees for extenuating circumstances. Are you sure you want to do this? The executor's fee IS INCOME to you and you will have to pay tax on it -- probably over 30% if you have another job (both Federal & PA income taxes added together). Medical Expenses IRSAll of the answers above are essentially correct: you cannot do it. I do take issue with any suggestion that you should claim the HSA and then deduct it (which would only get you “even” if you had already met the 7.5% threshold for deducting medical expenses AND exceeded the standard deduction). The 7.5% threshold means that the Congress only feels sorry for you and will let you deduct medical expenses over what it roughly the norm. Child Care Expenses on Income TaxYou can probably do this -- but do you want to? The care provider does not have to be licensed, etc. the main rule is that you cannot deduct pay a dependent to provide day care. (Example: you pay your older child to watch a younger one.) Using a relative is suspect and you will be within the reach of the "economic reality" catch-all provisions for bogus deductions. Question 1: "Permitted use" is a zoning term and not a tax term but I take your question to be whether running a space renatal business is "allowable function" of and exempt org (ExO). Also as above, you must not wait for the SEC or MD's Attorney General to investigate this matter. Get an attorney who does "broker malpractice" or securities arbitration regularly to protect your interests. In these theft situations, I have found there is no need to file for arbitration (and FINRA filing fees are steep enough to give anyone pause) -- the brokerage house is only too happy to pay to get the matter out of the spotlight.
