I am a fellow attorney (actually active on AVVO). I am looking for a good employment lawyer to act as mediator in a LAD case?

Asked by a user in Paterson, NJ - 4 months ago.

I'd recommend Maureen Binetti of the Wilentz firm in woodbridge or Elliot Baumgart of Rabner Allcorn in Montclair. You can't go wrong with either of these experienced employment attorneys and mediators. Richard Law Offices of Richard E. What type of lawyer do I retain to possibly sue my former employer for sexual harassment, defamation of character, wrongful term

Asked by a user in Cherry Hill, NJ - 3 months ago.

Hi, You would seem to benefit from consulting with an experienced plaintiffs' side employment law attorney. You could locate one through these responses or online referral services: nela.org, nelanj.org or avvo. I would want to know more about your own circumstances and how receiving these waitresses' complaints of sexual harassment by the corporate restaurant manager has affected your employment status or defamed your reputation. Can Someone Explain This?

Asked by a user in Voorhees, NJ - 7 months ago.

I can't explain the specific references to Sec. 504 hearings which I understand to be applicable to school children with disabilities. You could google "Section 504 administrative hearings" and find a lot of information posted by attorneys and Education law organizations who are familiar with this provision under the federal Rehabilitation Act. Can i get unemployment in nj for sexual harrassment

Asked by a user in Mays Landing, NJ - 10 months ago.

I agree with Mr. Scampato that it is important for you to document a complaint about your GM's sexually harassing conduct. If not promptly and effectively remedied, this will bolster your claims for sexual harassment and to collect unemployment compensation due to leaving a sexually hostile work environment. Depending on what's occurred up to this point, you might have a claim against your employer for the conduct of its GM irrespective of its response to your complaint (e.g., if the employer...

I was a passenger in a car accident but left before police came can I still file a injury claim?

Asked by a user in Salem, NJ - 11 months ago.

You should be able to make an injury claim based on the hospital record and history provided there and may possibly seek to amend the police report. A good first step is to request a copy of the police investigation report from the responding Police Dept. You may or may not be listed there and should inquire of the Driver as to information provided concerning you by the involved Driver(s) or others. You might also request a copy of your hospital emergency room record. Once you obtain at least...

Should I send demand letter

Asked by a user in Trenton, NJ - 5 months ago.

From your post, I assume that you have reported this accident to your insurance co. and that you are without collision coverage on this vehicle. The medical bills should be paid upon filing a " PIP " application with your own insurance carrier. Property damage can be claimed though the responsible commercial vehicle(s)' insurance carrier. I agree that you should meet with a personal injury attorney who can assist in placing the potentially responsible parties on notice of your claims,...

Civil Lawsuits

Asked by a user in Voorhees, NJ - 7 months ago.

With regard to an ADA discrimination lawsuit, there is a requirement to first file a charge of disability discrimination at the Equal Employment Opportunity Commisison (EEOC). For South Jersey residents, the EEOC is located on N. 8th Street (near Market) in Philadelphia. There is a 300 day deadline to file an EEOC charge of discrimination. This deadline generally runs from the date of adverse job action complained of, though exceptions may exist in the context of a "continuing violation". If...
