    You must hire an attorney. It's not up to the prosecutor but to the judge. Each case has different facts. This is very serious.

    You should call a criminal defense attorney. It's not just going to court he may end up with a jail sentence so the attorney needs to know the charges and try to defend and give mitigating factors. I'm in Newark all the time. The judges sees violations very seriously.

    You are eligible for parole in 9 months and 27 days. You can apply to ISP before you get sentenced. There are conditions that you must meet to qualify.

    Settlement fee is a fee the title company charges to prepare the hid and disburse the funds from their trust acct.

    Your lawyer is handle the legal portion of the real estate transaction. He reviewed the contract, wrote a rejection letter, negotiated with other attorney, reviewed inspections, ordered title, reviewed title binder.

    To get to a closing the lawyer did a lot of work now it's time for the money to go to title company and take responsibility for disbursing.

    So, no he is not billing you twice for the same thing.

    It takes a long time for the bank to file a foreclosure action. The back can't touch any of your assets till they obtain a judgement. I think it sounds like you should talk to an attorney.

    Only if it's your money. If you have proof it's not yours it cannot be legally touched. You must have proof.

    Most banks will stay the proceeding if you submit a full loan modifications package or you submit a short sale package via your attorney.
