    The plaintiff filed a motion to for summary judgment to preclude the court from allocating the debts of of the domestic partnership titled primarily my client's (defendant's) name. The law says the court is not required to recognize such debts. Our firm successfully argued that such debts are rightfully a part of the defendant's action to resolve the dissolution of the domestic partnership. This is an uncharted area of the the law. This matter could end up in the appellate division.
