Probably more difficult after the 3rd Circuit Rea decision which held that private employers can discriminate and refuse to hire you if you have filed for bankruptcy.

Your negative credit will not affect your soon to be wife's credit.

Can a collection agency or debt recovery take your money out of spouse's bank account?

If it sued only you and recovered a judgment against you only, it cannot go after your wife.
