Is an open container violation in MA anything to be concerned with?

In this day and age you need to fight everything. Whether it is civil or criminal you do not want something like this affecting you in the future or having to answer any questions about it on an employment application. Find a local lawyer out there in Springfield and I am sure that he/she can take care of the ticket for you. You may not want to let that friend borrow your car again though. Good Luck !!!

Another persons car was impounded when pulled over for swerving and arrested for suspected OVI. Blew well below legal limit.

Ordinarily, after being arrested the police will conduct an inventory of the vehicle prior to being towed to log and protect any valuable items left in the vehicle. After an OUI arrest in Massachusetts, there will be a 12 hour hold on the vehicle, but since you blew under the legal limit, the 12 hour hold would not apply. I am sure Ohio would have a similar provision written into their regulations.
