To complicate matters, the client was not only living a part from her husband getting ready to divorce, but she also had a criminal charge and was arrested of a crime of what Immigration Service would consider "moral turpitude". I prepared the Removal of Conditions on Green Card Petition and she was granted her permanent green card without an interview.

S.D. was facing a minimum mandatory sentence of 2 years in prison and 4 1/2 years total if convicted. Defendant was offered 6 months probation on Continuance without a Finding of Guilty (CWOF). We went to Trial. During the Trial the government presented testimonies of several Police Officers plus Detectives, Experts in the Drug Control Unit and a Chemist. Defendant was found NOT GUILTY.
