Wow- you are becoming quite aquainted with the system, they are both the same type of court, Marlboro is the satelite version and the judges rotate through that court. Marlboro has plenty of parking and one court room. It is a personal preference and a geographical preference. I like both. Marlboro is cleaner and the people are friendly, cambridge can be a bit stressful and it's kind of dirty. take care.
As far as I know most business's in the US are not required to ever accept credit cards, we are a free country in most cases which is what makes us so great. That being said, most professional offices do accept credit cards, in our office we accept all major credit cards and debit cards and have done so for many years. some offices do not accept AMEX as it is expensive to process, however we do. Many lawyers will agree to be paid partially from the sale of marital assets if you have run out...
They are two separate counties and you need to either file where you last live together as husband and wife or where one of you currently maintains a residency requirements. Wellesley is Norfolk county and Weston is Middlesex they are both very good courts and have very good judges. If neither of you lives in the same county where you lived together as husband and wife then you may file where you currently reside.
Most good Family Law attorneys handle contempts and modifications as part of their divorce and family law law practice. Contempts are usually fairly straightforward matters and modfications can be mini trials without the stress of still being married to someone you cannot get along with, so both types albeit stressful are much easier to handle than the original divorce, and should be reasonably priced. Take care
Absolutely, I have co-counseled cases on several occasions over the years with lawyers from my own firm and from others. The more advice you can get the better, just watch out for the costs and perhaps work a deal so that their is no redundancy of work.
The answer is sometimes- on the first court appearance you should be there as it shows the judge you care, however if there is protracted litigation, it is common that the attny can request the court to waive your appearance, but remember if there is ever a trial, you do have to be there. Take care and good luck. I am jealous you are going to florida, it is getting cold here. Take care.
There are child support guidelines that MA has. During the divorce process and after it has been filed you may ask the court for temporary support based upon those guidelines which include his income, your income, day care costs and other specifcs you should discuss with a local attny. Hope things work out and take care.
The eternal question, do you go to the local hardware or home depot, do you trust a small painting compan or a large one, do you shop at the farmers market or whole foods. Go with your heart and the rest will follow.
As my collegue stated so well you need a material change in circumstance. Alot can happen in six months so if there is such a change then you can give it a try. You should sit down with a good local attny such as the one who answered your case question first, go over the facts and see if you can flush out a strong material change in circumstances that would warrant such a modification. good luck and take good care.
