Mary Nerino is the best attorney I've ever hired.

Mary Nerino is the best lawyer I have ever hired. Mary will fix any issues you have. I could have lost my license for 12 months and lost my job. Mary was supportive when I didn't want to accept the DA's deal and she got my case dismissed.

Miracle Worker

With a 105/55 RD ticket in Fairfax County, the prognosis is almost always set in stone. This type of citation (from all my research) ends up with automatic jail time. The only variables are typically how long and if license suspension will be imposed. I'll save my final verdict for the end... I wa...s cited with this charge right before a trip to Florida so as you'd expect, all I was thinking about on the trip was how to remedy this citation. I called Mary based on my online research; she was highly recommended and my gut told me she would be my best hope. I called her and she reached out personally to go over the details of my case. Even from the jump, she was very honest with the possibilities of what could happen. However, she gave me a clear course of action on what things I could do to help my chances in front of a prosecutor. I followed her advice: one 8-hour driving course, one 4-hour driving course, 100 hours of community service, speedometer calibration, and a letter from my security officer (I maintain a security clearance). After doing these things, the first court date loomed. The first court date had to be continued but at the second court date, we met in the morning before court. Mary went over her opinion on the prosecutor/judge pairing and laid out my chances of a favorable outcome. Unfortunately, the prosecutor was very strict on jail time and the Judge was renowned for being rough on speeders. Therefore, we continued the case once more and prepared for a potential trial. Mary worked with me closely to ensure I was prepared in the event I needed to take the stand during the trial. She went over the Trooper's video, my dashcam, and other relevant evidence to build the case and prepare me for the multitude of outcomes that could happen. I felt very comfortable because she was very well-versed in how the proceedings would go and what our options would be at that stage. Finally, the day of the last court date arrived. Like before, I spoke beforehand with Mary and she indicated that the prosecutor was the same but the Judge was one of the more lenient judges. We began prepping for the fact we'd have to go to trial and present our (prepared) case. However, through the power of her professional wording and influence, she was able to convince the prosecutor to agree to reduce the charge of RD to simple speeding and thereby no jail time. When this agreement was presented in front of the Judge, Mary made a strong case on my behalf. Ultimately, the Judge agreed and my charge went from an RD misdemeanor to a speeding infraction. I'm not sure exactly how she does it, but her expertise and finesse are unmatched in this industry. I sincerely doubt that any other lawyer could've achieved the results she was able to. I hope to never have to call on Mary again but it's good to know that if needed, she will go to bat for me. Thank you, Mary!

Reckless driving down to defective equipment.

I was charged with reckless driving in VA (77 in a 55), which is a misdemeanor that can have penalties including jail time. I did not want to risk that so I reached out to lawyers to take my case. I finally chose Mary because she was very thorough explaining the process and the confidence she had i...n getting this knocked down to just speeding. She was a little more expensive then the other lawyers but in my opinion it was well worth it. The first court date the prosecutor was going to give me 3 points and down to just speeding. Mary suggested we defer and try for the next court date of the officer. I'm glad I took her advice even though I was happy with the speeding and 3 points. It paid out and the new prosecutor dropped it down to an infraction with 0 points and defective equipment. I paid my fine and court fees and am super happy how this turned out.

Great lawyer

I hired her to help me with 3 charges against me, two traffic violations, and a possession charge. She managed to drop two charges! including the possession. She is great and worth the money! I will absolutely recommend her to anyone.
