Helped me with a copyright troll

For a minimal consultation fee, Steve quickly gave me the practical information I needed to put a copyright troll (my opinion of the firm) behind me for about 1/3 of what they wanted and without agreeing to liability or signing an NDA. He also offered a fixed cost to fight if I needed to, and that ...was very reasonable. if the troll didn’t take my minimal offer, I absolutely would have been comfortable going that way. The knowledge and backup plan empowered me to negotiate from a position of strength and not be a profit source for the troll.

Thanks for taking the time to post Andrew. I am glad you were able to keep that photo-troll at bay. These guys can get out of control if you don't keep an eye on them, and specifically if you don't understand their game. Copyright law can be a bully club for intellectual property law firms that represent artists and photographers, but when you go into battle armed with knowledge and technique, you have a really good chance to obtain a positive outcome. Really glad you were able to apply our insights and negotiate the best deal to your advantage. Thanks for being a great client of the firm!! Steve

Steve was able to obtain a successful outcome for our company

Steve was able to rightfully negotiate and close an BSA audit case for our business. We appreciated his efforts. It is important to stay in regular communication with each other during this process.

Thank you for taking the time to post a review of your experiences. Software audits are never fun or easy. It takes a lot of patience and understanding of what opposing counsel is trying to get you for. I am glad we were able to resolve this fairly quickly and efficiently getting them to back way down from their numbers. Have a great 2020! Steve

Great Help With Strike 3 Holdings

Started 2020 with a subpoena to my ISP from Strike 3 Holdings in a Florida court. Found Steve online and got in contact with his firm. If you've gotten one of these and spend some time poking around online - you'll find Steve's videos about these cases really informing. His videos on how a Motion To ...Quash works breaks the process down pretty well including the pros/cons of going down this path vs settlements. His firm said Strike 3 was previously filing in Federal courts but have had their cases tossed out, and only in 2020 have they been starting to file at the state level. Their firm did not practice in Florida, but was able to find another lawyer for me to file a Motion To Quash and within a week the case was dismissed.

Thank you for the nice words. We work very hard to master internet file sharing and copyright law. Our firm is based in California (with offices in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Orange County, San Diego) and we have an office in Arizona. When dealing with Strike 3 Holdings (a prolific filer of federal copyright lawsuits in California and other states), it is very important to have experienced legal counsel to represent you. We have seen legal demands as high as $50,000 for alleged file-sharing of their movies, (and high demands from Malibu Media - another file sharing Plaintiff who has filed thousands of lawsuits). While you might be led to believe these parties may not be interested in harming or crippling you financially, make no mistake, these attorneys are out to get what they can and having an experienced BitTorrent litigation attorney in your corner is well advised. Thank you again! Steve
