Active around Up Case

I have an active Round Up Case with this firm and can’t get an update from them. My last update received from the firm was 6 months ago. I repeatedly call and leave messages with no response. I was assigned a paralegal and she no longer works for the firm, but I have received no communication about ...her not working for the firm. The only reason I know she doesn’t work there is my email got bounced back as undeliverable. Highly concerning and it has caused me to lose faith that this “award winning” firm is properly representing me.

Scandals

I have been a case with these people for awhile. The first person a dealt with was very nice and let me know what was going on. Some people I have to give some of this money to done know what they are getting and the person I have been talking to will not call me back when I call, will not email me b...ack. In December she told me was settled and should hear something by beginning of January but the other day when I was asking questions and matter of fact it took me 25 calls and messages to get her to answer me. She told me 3 weeks ago my closing statement was on lawyer desk but still not signed. About a week ago she said she would have the lawyer call me and still haven't heard from no one. They took a fourth of my money for judges supposedly but of course I can't get no one to tell me anything.

Joyce, I'm disappointed that you were not satisfied with the firm. As we discussed, the deductions were not for Judges. When an insurance company or medicare pays for medical treatment related to a personal injury, they are legally entitled to be reimbursed from any settlement proceeds. I tried my best to explain this but give me a call and we can further discuss. You were receiving monthly updates from the firm and we show you have received your settlement proceeds. Give me a call if you want to go over anything again. - Don

This is by far the worst firm I’ve dealt with! They are horrible with keeping you updated, then when they do update you, they tell you information that isn’t true. They basically spin you around the corner and just feed you anything. Don’t get me started on the paralegal, Christina. She NEVER respond...s to emails or anything. I just don’t get it. They send out paperwork explaining your settlement, promising a certain amount with a time frame if you send back docs right away. Find out you only walk away with about 25-30% if that. Well well well, Now it’s, oh a certain amount was held back for medical liens and the resolution department must finalize before we can release payment. Well I would love to see documentation stating that liens were actually placed and money held back for that purpose. With that being said, I feel like we’ve been scammed all around!!! Praying we all get to the bottom of this and receive our freaking money!!! We’ve waited long enough!!!

I'm not sure who you are because you did not say your name here. However, I obviously did not do a good job explaining the lien process in my email to you. Health insurance companies have a legal right to be reimbursed out of your settlement if they pay for health care related to your injury. I know it doesn't seem fair after what happened to you but that is the current law. Also, you should be receiving monthly updates from us via email and text message. Please reply to my email letting me know who you are and I will personally call you to go over everything. And I will work with the court appointed lien resolution company to get the documents you want regarding the liens. Have a good weekend. - Don Worley

Started Off GREAT, but now NO RESPONSE or Updates

I am a client. My name is Jimmy Rinehart. My case is the Defective Knee claim & MWPC case #1901529. So, you are able to verify my identity. I signed the settlement agreement at the end of 2021. I have received my last "pay off" notice from CMS (Medicare) that their portion of the lawsuit has... been settled, indicating they have been paid. The last email update I received from McDonald Worley was January 26, 2022. I've heard nothing since then and have received no return calls or email responses to my update inquiry. Considering this firm is apparently getting close to 40% of the settlement, I would think they would be more responsive at this point. I guess they're just holding the funds for the interest. They really were great at the beginning. But now I'm trying to decide if I should reach out to the State of Texas Bar Association or to the Attorney General's office. Really disappointed in what I thought was going to be a great representative firm for my defective knee claim.
