A DUI (highest tier) dismantled my world in a single day. It resulted in the loss of my career and the only thing I was certain of at this point in time was that I needed a lawyer, and fast. Honestly, I don’t even know where to begin my review on Paul Lang. He needs more then just a 5 star positive review for what he brought to the table representing me as my lawyer. I’ll start at at the beginning. Recently I attended Court after being arrested for drug possession and drug paraphernal...ia. I was rear ended by a fellow citizen driving on the road and law enforcement saw the incident, pulled up to make sure everything was okay, and began to tell me they smelled fresh marijuana coming from my car. They began searching and found a grinder, bong, and approximately 14 grams of marijuana which I was arrested for. After the situation had occurred, I had no idea what to do. I was asking close ones of mine about what I should do to handle this in court and I started being pointed in all different directions, such as being told to check with multiple attorneys and see what each one says, being told to just use a public defendant and not to hire a lawyer, and even being told to represent myself alone. Paul Lang, I don’t even know where to start! We found you on the internet one day googling best criminal defense lawyers in Bensalem when my boyfriend and I were in trouble. You were the top result (for a reason!). We were scared, didn’t have any knowledge, and were intimidated of the law and what mi...ght happen to us. The first phone consultation with you we knew right away we were in great hands and hung up with smiles on our faces. Paul Lang is a good man and excellent attorney. I’m a nurse who had a very ugly and devastating divorce. During a custody exchange, my ex husband was upset that I wanted the exchange at my house ( not his ) after attending a sports banquet with our child. We argued in the driveway and he disclosed... he was newly engaged with his 25 year younger girlfriend (whom he left me for) and she was pregnant. After my daughter was safely in his car, my emotions overwhelmed me and I just wanted to escape the scene. I was crying and recklessly pulled out of my own driveway and hit the bumper of a neighbor’s truck, then proceeded to the next street to park and call a friend to cry. After approximately ten minutes, my friend talked me down and I proceeded to crawl home in my car around the corner where 2 cop cars were patrolling the neighborhood due to my ex husband calling 9-1-1 suspicious of me driving intoxicated with our child from the sports banquet and he witnessed my fender bender. Needless to say, I did choose to have wine at the sports banquet and ultimately processed with a 0.13 BAC (tier2) offense plus a hit and run, and having a minor in the car. I was beyond upset; there were simply no words. Paul Lang saw me immediately and his professionalism and confident demeanor immediately put me at ease. He made himself available via emails and even texts. He explained the process and informed me of the state of PA has minimum recommendations for my charges and although attempting to initially get ARD, the triple accusations prevented it. With COVID quarantine, my court date was postponed a couple times but Paul was proposing plea deals and negotiations with the district attorney right up til minutes prior to my appearance in court. He discussed the personal issues that led to my poor judgement and how I needed to work as a nurse to support my three children including my autistic daughter. I had to disclose my arrest to the nursing board and was at risk of jail time and $5000.00 fines. I’m very very grateful for Paul’s compassion for my situation and his efforts to protect my driving privileges and nursing license. I was able to pay the minimum of $500.00 and do 48 hours in house arrest and keep my employment and driving privileges. Paul is more than a lawyer but an empathetic person who genuinely cares and with his extensive knowledge of the legal system, attempts to do-what-it-takes to get his clients the best possible outcome. I’m grateful and am aware that his efforts were tenacious and the outcome is miraculous.
