Great attorney and great guy

I met Matt a few years back in another closing where he represented the bank. It became instantly apparent that he was the sharpest person in the room. I made a note that in my next real estate transaction I would have him handle it for us. Matt was tremendously helpful in both our sale and purcha...se of our homes. He gave us regular updates and always took the time to explain everything to us. We had some unexpected issues with the purchaser of our home. Matt was always there to calm our fears and further rectify the situation. He always explained the law to us and advised us of all our options. For the purchase of our home, Matt helped negotiate our terms so that we were well protected in the event our sale didn't go through. Luckily this did not happen, but it was nice to know that our risk was minimal. We were extremely pleased and forever grateful for all of Matt's help and legal expertise.

Great Lawyer

We used Matthew Tannenbaum when we were bought and sold our houses. He was very professional and let us know every step of the way what we needed to do.

Highly recommended

I'm a busy Real Estate agent and home builder in Plainview. I work with Matt on a regular basis. I use him for my personal purchase and sale transactions. I also have recommended Matt to my clients and have had very positive feedback from everyone.

Multiple Owners in Multiple States

The house we were selling was on Long Island, but the two owners lived in different cities hundreds of miles away from each other and from the property. Matt handled this geographical complication with ease. He did what was necessary to verify the title, and he succeeded in getting the closing to h...appen at a convenient date without the sellers having to attend. He really did a fine job. The only aspect of this that was less than stellar was that he did not communicate by email as often as he said he would. That caused a bit of frustration along the way, but the ultimate result was that a complicated transaction done well and on time. If we had to do it again, we would still hire Matt because of his skills, but we'd just pester him more often when communication lagged.

Eviction

Business gets done but this is a personal business as it's our homes getting destroyed by tenants who don't pay. A smile or a feeling of support would go a long way. But it's business to some only

Unfortunately this reviewer did not leave their name so I cannot comment on the specifics of a "smile or a feeling of support" except that it may be targeted more to "bedside manner" than to any specifics of the case. We strive to get our clients cases resolved as quickly and cost effectively as possible and sometimes that does indeed leave little time to address clients emotional issues as well. As we do rely on reviews not only for the generation of new business but to also help improve our level of service i would welcome a call or email from this reviewer to discuss same. Suffice it to say that most eviction scenarios are stressful for bot the landlord and the tenant especially if indeed the tenants (as they often do) cause damage to the premises during the course of the court case. Upon intake of a new case all my clients are advised that the LLT courts are of limited jurisdiction and generally will not address issues of damage at the premises. Clients are also advised as to standard timelines for each scenario presented. Without any further information as to who this reviewer is I cannot comment on whether or not their case went outside of a standard track.
