After some personal research, I contacted Mr. Minsky for help navigating my student loan situation. My situation is now resolved. But something just didn't seem right. The loan balance the collection agency was citing was about 4,000 too high. After working with Mr. Minsky to clearly understand my options, I opted to work directly with the Dept. of Ed via consolidation instead of the collection agency.
