At $350/hr, Jag Matto filed several continuances and never interviewed the plaintiff in my case. He reported he was on vacation, sick, taking care of sick family or otherwise busy, and continuously had to ask me about my side of the story after I spent roughly 20 hours documenting to facilitate the i...nformation he continuously asked for. When emailed, he would answer in very short bursts, without fully responding to the ask. When messaged directly, he would occasionally respond the same day, but otherwise would respond at his own discretion, and usually with short responses, without answering the question asked, until repeatedly asked several times over several days. After six months of zero results, I had to find new council because he flat out refused to do the job he was asked to do, unless the case went to trial, meaning he would be guaranteed further financial return. Other lawyers in the Criminal Law field said that my case should have been to trial within 4 to 7 weeks, as the interviews of the plaintiffs should have been done within days/weeks of the event occurring to get the truth out, so that the case could go to trial quickly and get dropped. My case has been said by several law firms in the area to have been straight forward and never should have taken six months to get the process started. Jag billed me for every penny, plus some, of his time, without any results, and took insult to my asking him to reimburse my money when I had nothing to show for his work. I would not recommend Jagjit Matto to someone that needs representation as he does not interact with his clients in a way that suggests there is movement in a forward direction. Six months without any movement on a case is too long, and a waste of energy, effort and financial reimbursement.

August 2021, I got pulled over for doing 95 in a 50 (construction zone), after having a couple of drinks. Big mistake, do NOT recommend. I’m part of the car culture and Jag was the most respected DUI lawyers, so I gave him a call and felt confident in his work and abilities. Jag got my speeding... ticket dismissed. He also got my DUI reduced to a Neg 1. I had a BAC of 0.14. Throughout the case, Jag was always available, provided help and even eased my mind. I will say though, the day of my final hearing I was shaking, sick to my stomach, feeling intimidated by the court and the boys in blue, thinking I was about to get cuffed. I didn’t, this was my first and LAST DUI, but I want to comfort others, that you are in phenomenal hands when it comes to Jag. 10/10 recommend.
