I highly recommend Underwood Law Firm. Their professionalism, knowledge, and genuine support made a significant difference during one of the most stressful times in my life. John and his staff first assisted me with my DUI case, working diligently to help reduce my sentence. They were thorough, ho...nest, and strategic, always making sure I understood my options and felt supported throughout the process. What truly sets this firm apart, however, is how they continued to advocate for me beyond the initial case. While I was enrolled in a nursing program and already two years into my studies, we received a new dean who informed me that there was a possibility I could be dropped from the program due to my prior DUI and hit-and-run charges. Best Decision I've Made

I was pulled over on the grapevine for having my headlights off, during which I learned my license was suspended due to a very old DUI with unfulfilled obligations. The officer issued me a Notice to Appear for the county the DUI was in, as well as new charges in Kern County for the headlight infracti...on and driving on a suspended license. To say I was stressed and overwhelmed is a massive understatement. I retained Underwood Law Firm for the Kern case, and John immediately helped to calm me down as he walked me through the process, illustrating best and worst case scenarios. To make a long story short...he was able to get the ENTIRE CASE DISMISSED. I, quite literally, sobbed -- I had hoped for a reduction in charges at best. Hiring him and his team was the best decision I've made throughout all of this. Side note: I lost a close family member in the midst of everything, and let John know I'd be unavailable for a few days while making arrangements up north. I got home to find a sympathy card in my mailbox with a handwritten note inside, from Underwood Law Firm. Just....truly wonderful people, on top of being great at what they do.

All odds against me in a Class A License. Im ready to take the hit. Mr John Underwood asks me to come to Bakersfield, out of faith, he takes it to trial. At the trial, I am moved by the in depth knowledge and critical thinking of Mr John Underwood. Huge respect for the effort and commitment of this g...reat man, I was ready for any outcome. Throughout the process I was empowered by the courage he carries. He understands the significance of this case, as for a person whose livelihood is at stake.
