Professional, compassionate, and knowledgable

My husband and I have used both Michael and Megan Baumer, and we couldn't be more please with their service, knowledge, and compassion. This is a top notch firm, extremely honest and forth-coming, and we have nothing but the utmost trust for them. I have recommended this firm to friends and family me...mbers as well. When we were looking for a bankrutpcy lawyer, a friend recommended the Baumers to us and we figured with a free first consultation it couldn't hurt to talk to them. We were so comfortable in our first meeting with Megan that we hired them on the spot.

Recommendation of Michael Baumer

I've met Michael Baumer, and have worked with his knowledgeable staff for over a year now. I was having issues and wanted to only go to an Attorney that I was referred to, not one that I found via the Internet or Phone Book. There are plenty of those to choose from. A friend of mine and her husband h...ad great things to say about Michael's firm. So I set up a meeting, liked what I heard and saw, and he advised me as to the best path to follow. If not for Michael and his staff I would be drowning under water. Thankfully I'm above water and my situation has improved. I recommend Michael's firm.

Professional, helpful and trustworthy!

I was referred to the Baumer law firm by another attorney in Austin who deals with bankruptcy lawyers and who I've known for over 8 years and so I trusted her judgment. They were very pleasing to work with, knowledgeable and trustworthy! They helped us through a difficult time and made things alot e...asier than we would have expected. I was very pleased with their firm and would recommend them to anyone.

Michael Baumer

I hired Michael Baumer to handle my bankruptcy. He did an adequate job. I did not have his entire fee so I offered to let him hold my fathers Rolex as security. He agreed and I began making payments. When I had $800 left to pay, I called his office to let them know that I had the balance and was ...ready to pick up my watch and pay off my bill. I was ignored and then got a letter from his office telling me that he was keeping the watch for non-payment. I faxed his office copies of paid receipts and asked him to reconsider. He would not and has completely ignored me. Now I've paid him $1,700.00 plus a Rolex worth $3,000.00. That was my experience with this guy. To get this review published I have to refrain from using the language that would go more to the point of what I think of him. There are plenty of lawyers, why take a chance with one you can't trust.

I represented this person in a Chapter 7 case filed on January 29, 2008. As payment for my fees, he gave me a Rolex watch. The Attorney Disclosure and Statement of Financial Affairs, filed under penalty of perjury, in federal court reflect this agreement. Soon after, this person asked if he could buy back his watch. I told him that if he paid my fee in full within 6 months, I would give him back his watch. It is now 3 years later and he wants to redeem the watch. He did not leave his watch as security for payment; it was the payment for my attorney fees.
