Excellent, Honest, Intelligent Attorney Tate

Making an appointment to speak with Attorney Tate was the best decision I ever made! Don't hesitate. I enjoyed following him through the student loan cancellation journey. His knowledge and willingness to share with us was exemplary. I followed his advice, from consolidating loans to filling out form...s and did everything he suggested so graciously. After a full year of watching Attorney Tate's videos, the greatest thing ever happened to me. I opened my Nelnet account to read the most incredible three words ever..."Paid In Full." I literally wept with joy. As I poroused the Nelnet website, I saw that $89,342.70 of my student loan debt was forgiven ... Paid In Full. I went to the inbox to find two letters congratulating me saying my loans were forgiven! I'm still in such awe and feel humbled by President Biden's team effort in changing the lives of those of us bombarded with interest debt. My original loans were $25,000 and with a 9% interest rate, I was buried in almost $90,000 worth of student loans and interest debt. I can finally sleep at night, again, thanks to Attorney Tate for helping guide us through this complicated process. He's the most stellar, honest, forthright attorney who gives of his time so freely. I truly appreciate all the help I was given and thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping me become debt free! You completely rock, Stanley Tate Esq. My best to you and your beautiful family!

Overrated

Stanley failed to inform his clients of the Oct 31, 2022 deadline to consolidate loans because he misread government documents. Some of us are now unable to apply for Biden’s debt forgiveness. On some calls with Stanley there is background excruciatingly painful background noise. There have been drop...ped calls. Sometimes he calls late. Stanley is not a professional and the services he charges for are offered for free by the Institute of Student Sloan Advisors. Better to go with the professionals instead of the amateurs. This is one guy we can do without.

I informed all of my clients directly about the Halloween deadline to qualify for the PSLF Waiver. I've also sent out a weekly newsletter for the past year, informing all subscribers about the date. The Department of Education joined me in my effort as well. They sent out several emails, tweets, and letters to millions of borrowers, letting them know the deadline was approaching. Student loan servicers all did the same. It's unfortunate that you or some other person haven't yet applied for Biden's debt forgiveness, which is a totally different program BTW. But there's still time to do that. The deadline for that program doesn't end until next December. Betsy and her team at the Institute of Student Loan Advisors are great. I hope you find success with them.

Finally! A solution for Student Load Debt!

Frankly, I was finding it impossible to maintain my home and family while paying student loans. I came across Tate law while searching the internet for help. After checking further and finding the firm to be legitimate, I scheduled an appointment. I found Stanley Tate to be professional, personable,... and I daresay --patient. He was able to answer all my questions, and by the end of our conversation he assured me that he would help me to find reasonable solutions. It's been over a year since my first appointment with him and I feel as though a tremendous burden has been lifted from my shoulders. Rather than losing sleep as I had been for years, I only wish I had called him sooner.

Helped me understand the TEPSLF Program

I had a 15-minute phone conversation with Mr. Tate to confirm my understanding of the new TEPSLF (Temporary Expanded Public Service Loan Forgiveness) program) and in less than 10 minutes he had me fully understanding my eligibility and the steps needed to apply. Such a wealth of understanding and an... innate ability to make it understandable. Thank you Mr. Tate for your time and your public service to help people understand!

Confusing

One of the strangest consult phone calls I’ve ever had. It was very loud in the background when he called, he spoke as if I was an inconvenience despite the call having been scheduled 2 weeks out, and at one point in the 8 minutes we talked, he demanded to know if I had $30k in cash at that moment.......which was irrelevant to the list of questions i was trying to ask a lawyer I was looking to hire. I feel like due to the background noise maybe something was going on and my call should have been rescheduled, but it was overall a really unprofessional conversation, and he made it clear that my business wasn’t wanted.

Thank you for your feedback. I’m not certain what background noise you were mentioning. It was probably my two puppies tussling. This whole work from home thing occasionally has its bumps. Had I’d been aware that background noises were interrupting the call, I would have adjusted. As far as the questions I ask during an introductory call, allow me to say this generally. Until I know the borrower’s express goal in scheduling a call with me, I have to go through a list of questions to suss out (a) what their goal is; and (b) what options they have to achieve that goal. Any questions I ask are towards those two things. I apologize if you felt as if I demanded to know anything from you. I hope you get the help you’re seeking for your situation.
