I have nothing but rave reviews for Mr. Tate and his team!! I got sucked into a predatory loan back in 2007, and had just been paying on it with a recurring monthly payment for years. One day last year I decided I should be almost done with the loan and decided to look into it. I discovered that I... had not only already paid almost two and one-half times the original loan amount, but STILL had a balance of about one and one-half times the original loan amount. I could not believe my eyes! That is when I started looking for help and found Mr. Tate. He responded right away and gave me his assessment of the situation and what he thought he could do for me. I did my due diligence and spoke with my accountant as well as 3 other lawyers, ALL of whom would not take the case until I was being SUED for defaulting on the loan. I did NOT want to have that hanging over my head! I also did not want to default and hurt my credit, but decided to move forward with Mr. Tate and use a friend in the credit repair business to help clean up my credit. Mr Tate and his team went to work immediately and I had a settlement offer from Navient within 3 weeks…..at about 30% LOWER than Mr. Tate had originally estimated he could get! Needless to say, I am thrilled to have this behind me and would recommend him to ANYONE needing help with predatory student loans!

When we hired Tate Law we were at the point of not knowing what to do about our Parent Plus Loans. The payment was a ridiculous amount that we just couldn’t pay. I read reviews and thought what can it hurt. We had a consult and went from there. The process was long, but they were with us every step o...f the way. They continually checked in and let us know what the next steps were. In the end our consolidations and IBR were accepted. Our payment went from $660 to $106 per month. He’s a a bit too arrogant for the quality service provided. I’m not even sure I was talking to Mr. Tate because he cancelled the video visit last minute and called instead, due to “reception”. I sent in all required information before my consult. None of this information was reviewed during the cons...ult and he didn’t have the information in front of him during the consult. . He gave me a few vague solutions that I could’ve did a Google search to find out. He ended up telling me I needed a lawyer in the state I live. This should’ve been communicated prior to taking any fees.

I just got an email from the Department of Education that my 225K student loan forgiveness is being processed.
