While on a temporary project in Chicago, IL, I had a lapse in judgement and was arrested for DUI. What made matters worse is that I went through a red light and was involved in an accident. Having no knowledge of the law, I took a breathalyzer and was well over the legal limit. As I was out of state,... it was important that I secured a lawyer ASAP. I went through the motions of calling and meeting with several lawyers and I was instantly drawn to Martin. I felt comfortable discussing all the details of the case and he passed no judgement. Upon arriving to court, Martin went to work and within 15-20 minutes, my case was finished. The traffic violations were dropped and I received court supervision. His confidence was very well justified because he produced results in my case! What I loved the most about working with Martin was the way he always made himself available to me. Whether I had questions or whether I was feeling anxious or depressed about the case, Martin was always the voice of reason and he got me to realize that it was not the end of the world. Even as I am completing the terms of my court supervision, Martin is still very much available to answer my questions and assist with whatever he can. I write this review because my experience with Martin was beyond phenomenal. Dealing with a DUI charge can be such an overwhelming experience but having a lawyer who is competent and confident can make such a huge difference. I appreciate Martin for everything that he has done for me and like I always tell him, he is worth a million dollars! Bad things happen but the best way to move forward is to tackle things head on by hiring a lawyer who can deliver. Making the choice to select an attorney can be tough but take heed to my advice: Martin will fight for you and do everything in his power to not only get positive results but to put your mind at ease. I was arrested for DUI and went looking for a attorney. I talked with 1 saying he has cheapest price for Dui, but after meeting with him did not feel good after our talk, so I went online and searched again and came across Martin Lascola and liked what I read and called to setup a meeting. At meeting... I showed him all documents I had about my arrest .011 and not taking breath test at station. First thing he said he felt it was beatable by going to trial and explained why, so after listening I felt good about hiring Martin. Then he went and filed a summary suspension on my behalf so that I could drive after 30 days with a breathalyzer installed no restrictions. Went to court 2 times, 1st to file for a trial, 2nd for trial in front of judge. I sat at the table and watched and listened as the officer was called and states attorney questioned him, then it was Martins turn and I was amazed at how much he knew about proper procedure on field test. He had officer stumbling on his answers, which made me feel that a good outcome could come. After state rested I waited for the judges decision and Martin said he felt good also and we were right with a Not Guilty verdict. Martin was so good that another attorney came up to him asked if he could contact him for advice. When this first happened I was very worried, but after hiring Martin I was able to relax a bit. Not having been cited for over fifteen years, I was recently awarded a citation for speeding. At the time, my understanding of the consequence was a fine and court supervision, possibly traffic school. However, I was surprised to learn that I could have been arrested on the spot for the same level o...f violation that would have resulted in supervision in the past. Unless you are a someone who takes the initiative to stay current with traffic law, your next opportunity to become current is after you have been cited. This, of course can be too late, and is how I learned the limits used to categorize a speeding offense have been reduced and can result in a more serious penalty than in the past. Panic set in and, had I not sought the assistance of Martin, my court appearance may have resulted in a suspended license. My decision to seek legal representation came late and Martin could have easily declined my request due to scheduling pressures however, he was respectful and approachable. We reviewed the circumstances and arrived at a plan that ultimately mitigated the penalty to far less than it could have been. I am greatly appreciative of Martin’s help and, if you find yourself as I was, definitely consider his services. Be aware the limits defining excessive and aggravated speeding have changed. Be safe.

When the state offered a plea bargin, Martin said there would be no harm taking it all the way to trial, as I was like...ly to get a similar result no matter what. With Martin's guidance and patience, the trial ended in a COMPLETE DISMISSIAL on all charges, leaving me a free man and he saved me hundreds of dollars in court fees. Martin was available by text/phone/email nearly any time you needed him, and if anything ever happens again he will be the first lawyer I call.
