I like many parents never thought they would need to hire a criminal lawyer for their child, especially one that never found themselves on the wrong side of the law, not even a speeding ticket. I for other reasons being in law enforcement myself never thought I would require the services of a defense... lawyer, after all it was us that put the bad guys/girls in court & would get angry when some slick talking, tongue slinging defense lawyer would get them off or on a lesser sentence. Well last year I needed one of those lawyers and I needed one ASAP for my 24yr old daughter who made one of the most stupid mistakes whilst we were traveling back home to our country through the US. I had to return home without my daughter and find a lawyer in a country we did not live in for her. I came home & used my connections in the legal world for the best lawyers in Atlanta to deal with my daughters situation, because that is where she was arrested. They quickly got back to me with some names, but for some reason after making calls I did not get or feel what I wanted from my conversations with them. I then looked online for highly recommended criminal lawyers in the Atlanta area, and Howard J. Weintraub was one of the names that came up. I opened his web page read what he had to say, then I clicked on his video, so glad I did. It was something about the way he came across that made me reach for my phone and give him a call. At the other end of my phone I found a voice that was assuring, comforting, authoritative and knowledgeable. The most compelling words Howard could have said to me to make it clear Howard J. I knew then I called the right lawyers. I flew to Atlanta to meet with Howard and his team, Ben and Deb. I have to admit Ben looked a bit young to be a lawyer, but my daughter told me on one of our calls that she really liked him that he put her at ease. Immediately they put me at ease, but the one thing I appreciated the most is that they were very honest and upfront with me. I was still in shock over what had taken place, and was dreading seeing my daughter from behind a plexi glass wall, but having Howard take me to the jail in his car that fist day helped me cope. Him and Ben saw in their visits what I already knew, that my daughter was a beautiful young lady, (not talking about just the outside), and that she did not belong in jail. Howard told me those words again that helped me know I made the right choice, "don't worry I am going to take care of her like she was my own." To really show you how great Howard and his team are, I was there on my own, and after we got back from the jail that first meeting Howard asked me if I was staying by myself in a hotel, I said yes, what he did next was amazing. He told me that I could stay with him and his daughter if I wanted, so that I wouldn't have to be alone. Then his paralegal Deb offered me to stay with her and her husband at their home as well if I wanted. I thanked them both for the offer and said I would think about it. The next morning waking up alone in my hotel, realizing I was in a country which I knew no one I decided to take up the offer. I ended up staying with Deb. She and her husband not only opened up their home, but their hearts , and to this day we are friends. They were all amazing making themselves available when I needed them, keeping me updated. My daughter fell in love with them also, calling Howard and Ben her father's away from home and saying they saved her life. Ben ended up being my daughters primary lawyer on her case, but Howard made sure he knew everything that was going on with her. We went through 4 DA's each one tougher than the last, but Ben and Howard were tougher, because they never backed down and fought for her as if she was their own. She is now back home thanks to Ben and Howard.

In late May I had a situation arise where I was set up by my soon to be ex at the time, where she made me out to be the aggressor in a domestic dispute which made it look like I physically bodily harmed her. I have no current record what so ever and when I was accused of this in Dekalb county I was c...harged with aggravated assault. I was extremely worried seeing that this charge can and will ruin my whole life and possibly my future career. In 2013 I was wrongfully accused of misdemeanor theft by a former employer. I had never been in trouble with the law before and was left stunned when I learned that the police were looking for me. In a matter of a day I lost my job, my apartment and my clean record. It was truly the worst moment of m...y life. I immediately researched defense lawyers local to Atlanta and contacted Howard Weintraub after reading glowing online reviews of the Law Offices of Howard J. Weintraub. I completed an online shoplifting program, registered my normal volunteering as community service and paid a few small fees to the court and was let off with a nolle prosequi as part of the deal. I was left with an arrest on my record, but the agreement allowed for expungement of the arrest to happen automatically after I was processed out. At the end of the entire series of events, I walked away with no charges, no prison time and no trace of this event on my record. As Ben said, "It was like it never happened." I owe it to Ben for recommending this path to me, as he advised that it was the smartest move. I feel that was an accurate assessment, and truly believe he has a savviness about the court system that comes from someone who does their Law homework. Overall, I was very pleased with the services, discussions and representation that Ben gave me. Whenever I had to make an appearance in court, Ben always managed to make the process as painless and quick as possible, which I am grateful for. No one who is innocent until proven guilty should have to spend hours in a court room while surrounded by strangers, and Ben prevented that from happening multiple times by ensuring we were always in and out promptly and the first to leave if present with a large group of defendants. Ben was always pleasant to talk to and seemed to actually care about my well-being. When I had a question about situations that extenuated from the chaos this situation caused me, he heard me out and offered advice and suggestions that helped me. He was also able to make recommendations for private investigators and further legal help that proved substantial. For these reasons I recommend Ben Alper and the Weintraub Firm. I was indicted on some Federal charges. I wish to not reveal the specifics since the case is ongoing. I found Mr. Howard Weintraub on the AVVO site. I called him and he met me in his office on a Sunday !! I had to wait 2 months for my family to accumulate the funds to retain him and he still ca...lled me and always accepted my calls even though he had not been paid yet. He must have spent over 25 hours talking to me about my case not even knowing if he could be retained !!
