In November 2013 I received the phone call , from my son, that no mother wants to receive. It was my 20-year-old, college sophomore, and he had been arrested in a small town in southern Georgia. He was pulled over for speeding and the officer said he smelled marijuana and searched the car. In the ...search a small amount of marijuana was discovered in one of the passengers back packs. Because no one claimed ownership of the drug all 5 people were arrested for possession and as the driver of the car criminal liability was placed on my son. My son, who is an honors student, athlete and who had never been in trouble before was in jail for marijuana possession. His goal is to work for the State Department after graduating and this arrest could have a devastating impact on his future. We needed a lawyer and we needed a GREAT one! Howard was recommended to us. The arrest happened over a weekend and we called and left a message on Saturday. Sunday morning bright and early Howard called us back. He actually apologized for not speaking to us on Saturday as he was at a family wedding! In reference to my previous review about 5 months ago I had said that I would update my AVVO review as the case continued. Today I am pleased to say that I am the happiest man alive and that I owe my life and freedom to the Weintraub Team ! It has been a very long 7 months since my arrest, unsure of... how my life would end up with this possible felony record hanging over my head.
