Government’s Worst Nightmare

I hired Steve to represent me in a military case. Although I was offered a JAG attorney I decided to go with Steve. This was by far the best choice I made. Knowledgeable, caring and charismatic the government’s attorneys were no match. He literally had them shaking as they attempted to present their... case. It was no surprise that we won. Without question I would hire Steve again as well as recommend him to anyone having who is seeking representation in a military court. He is worth more than his fee. I should mention that he fee included him flying out of state for three days to handle my case. Great Job Steve!!

Absolutely the best law team for military personnel

I was recommended to Steve Shewmaker by several other attorneys that I reached out to. I was going through a divorce and was very close to retirement from the military, so I wanted someone who was very familiar with service member benefits and had experience in military law. Everyone recommended St...eve and his team. With Steve having served over 20 years in the military himself, he continues to portray professionalism, loyalty, candor, and definitely takes the initiative on getting ahead of things when it comes to working on your case. On our first meeting, we sat down and he worked up every number almost to the dollar on various scenarios and what I could expect to come out of the divorce with. I also worked with Hannah Apicelli, who is an attorney there as well. Hannah is a very kind person and just like Steve, makes you feel like a priority. I never had a problem with not receiving any requested information or a callback from them. Hannah and Steve truly do an amazing job at educating and counseling their clients on the outcomes of divorce. I couldn't be happier with the team I chose and will absolutely recommend them to anyone in the future.

In need of a contempt order

Steve was incredible thorough in explaining what I needed to do to file a contempt order for non-payment of child support and alimony payments. He even put me in touch with a lawyer in the state my ex moved to. Extremely clear, kind and helpful.

He was extremely inspiring and professional .

I don't know where to start. I don't think words can describe the amazing job Steven Shewmaker did for my case. I was hopeless and did not trust anyone after dealing with that problem for over 4 years. Faith and a recommendation brought me to him on the day of his birthday. si will never forget that.... I called his law firm exactly 10 minutes before 5pm. I was looking for a lawyer. He answered the phone and listened to all i had to say. in the middle of my frustration. I had court in just few days and i was running out of time . He made time on his calendar and gave me an appointment 2 days later. After i met with him and i left his office, all i could think is that, he was the right person to fight for me since i couldn't do it on my own and specially because he had an honorably background. I only wanted justice. He was professional and i was just impressed how he handled the case in front of the judge and It was very very INSPIRING. He got justice for me and he made me believe in the justice again. If you need a lawyer that fight for justice and for the truth, just look for him. He was amazing. The justice and law does exist. I was blessed to have him on my path as a lawyer. Thank you so much to you and everyone in your office that was involved in this case specially the amazing and sweet Healy. She was also amazing. Excellent attorney

My daughter is in the legal profession, and when I was cited with a traffic offense in which I was guilty of but was concerned about the possible ramifications, her firm recommended Shewmaker & Shewmaker. What a wise recommendation that was. Steve Shewmake took an active interest in the case even tho...ugh he assigned it to Hanna-Lynn Apicelli. As I said,, I knew I was guilty of my offense but they helped minimize the punishment. I was certainly fortunate to have this law firm representing me and I could not recommend them more highly.
