I highly recommend Steven Shewmaker

Steve made me very comfortable and was "fierce" in taking action on my case. He is very thorough. His attention to detail is incredible! The moment you walk in his office you feel at home like he is your big brother just there to take care of you, and that's exactly what he did!

Absolute Best

Steven Shewmaker is the best lawyer i've had the pleasure of hiring and wouldn't hesitate to do it again. Mr. Shewmaker handled my full custody case with the professionalism and integrity that is expected of an army officer, when he tells you I recommend this option you know he's giving you the best ...option on the table that's more beneficial. I have hired him for two cases and he's never given me a reason to doubt him, if you want to win your case then you call Shewmaker&Shewmaker.

Superb Representation

Steven Shewmaker did an excellent job representing me at my separation board. I was nervous about the costs of representation; Steven was willing to work with me, and I'm glad that I admitted my need for help. Wish I had found him sooner

I was hit with a General Officer Memorandum of Reprimand (GOMOR) towards the end of my military career. In unfamiliar waters, I made a go of it and wrote my own rebuttal. Suffice it to say, it didn't go well. If there was a hope or chance of getting my GOMOR, I missed the mark. It was filed permanent...ly and they initiated proceedings for a separation board. I found out about LTC Shewmaker thereafter, and he was always forthright and available to assist me in deciding my best option, engaging in long, pro bono conversations over the phone. Assuredly, had I contacted him sooner, I am certain that I would have been in a dominant position. He knows the ins and outs of military law and has a great success rate. Cost-wise, he was the most reasonable as well, fixing travel expenses to a set amount in spite of their inevitable fluctuation when the time came for the board. All in all, he was fair, nonjudgmental, knowledgeable and realistic. If you're facing a similar situation, don't delay or go it alone. The military has a funny way of melting away when you need support, such as this, in the worst way. Had I gotten LTC Shewmaker in my corner, I'm certain I would have had all the support I needed.
