Scott A. Drake was appointed to me in Gwinnett Co. I never heard good things about a court appointed Lawyer, they have so many cases and there goal is to get your case over with as soon as possible hell there really not getting paid for it but every lawyer has to go through this. But this man went ab...ove and beyond for me it took 3 years to get the DA to drop my case they wanted me to take a plea but that was not going to happen he is very thorough and a detailed Lawyer. Scott showed little interest in defending my son, even though we hired him and paid in full up front. He had excuses for every time our case was delayed or postponed. He was not available to talk to my Incarcerated son or myself. Not only did he have personal issues, he also prioritized his cases..., thus we had an indefinite wait for our case. Even though my other son and I had personally gathered defense info and an eye witness, he ignored it and Scott let my son sit in jail for six months and then negotiated a plea deal with his friend the DA. Even though the so called victims had left the country and the county didn't have any witnesses to support the charges, Scott convinced my son to plea to a felony in order to get out of jail. He told him that he could otherwise sit in jail for as much as 2 years. He offered no legal advice or defense. Do not hire this attorney!
