Reckless Driving reduced to Speeding

Luke Nichols represented me in court this morning regarding a reckless driving citation (92 in a 70 mph zone). I was full sure I would be convicted and receive a driving license suspension and potential jail time as I had a similar charge out of state in 2013. Luke was able to iron out a resolution a...nd negotiated a reduced charge of speeding 80 mph in a 70 mph zone. Brilliant result - and really unexpected. I couldn't have asked for a better result.

Reckless driving

As you already know reckless driving in Virginia is counted as criminal misdemeanor. Its means problems with my legal status. Luke fought hard and brought it down to just speeding ticket. He made me believe in humanity again after that court experience. I would strongly recommend him.

Not bad for a lawyer

Mr. Nichols was extremely helpful from the beginning of my reckless driving case. We had a long phone conversation at the beginning which allowed me to implement a strategy that eventually led to my charges being reduced to speeding and a fine. The process was long but Mr. Nichols was thorough and he...lpful throughout.

Reckless Driving

Reckless driving was dropped to a minor speeding ticket. Mr. Nichols represented me as an attorney, and he was straight forward and let me know what I needed to do to prepare to have the best fighting chance. Not going to sugarcoat it. It was a lot of work, but I completed everything (plus more to ...show that I was taking this violation seriously). In the end, even though the judge and prosecutor who showed up to handle my case were known to be tough, they've agreed to reduce my charge to a minor speeding ticket. One thing to keep in mind for anyone who's in a similar situation (This is something I didn't know): All of the negotiation with the prosecutor is done on the day of your court date because the name of the prosecutor is not known until the day before. Even though you may feel anxious and nervous, there is nothing that can be done until the day of. Just do what your attorney asks you to do, so he can go and negotiate on your behalf as best as he can. Mr. Nichols knew the people at the court and is certainly knowledgeable about traffic cases. Best of luck.
