Reckless Driving Charge

Attorney Nichols and Green helped with my daughter's reckless driving case. They were great. I started with Mr. Green, He was great and explained everything to us and put our mind at ease. But we ended up going to court with Mr. Nicholes, he was great as well. He spoke to the officer who gave ticket ...to my daughter for reckless driving before the court and was able to get the judge to drop the charges.

Completely Satisfied...

Last month, Luke's partner Garrett Green represented me in a wreckless driving case in Fairfax County, VA. When I initially received the ticket, I figured I'd go to court, pay a fine and go back to work. After receiving more than a dozen letters from lawyers over the following weeks, I became worried... that the charge was much more serious than I thought; and it was. Possible loss of my license, fines up to $2,500, criminal record, ridiculous insurance premiums, etc. I called Spectrum because the materials I received in the mail from them provided much more detail than competing firms, and after my free initial telephone consultation with Luke, I was immediately at ease about having his firm represent me. He listened to my concerns, provided sound advice over the phone before I had even signed a contract or paid a dime, and continued to be very responsive in the weeks leading up to my hearing. On the morning of my hearing, Luke's partner Garrett met me in court and as soon as I walked through the door he informed me that he'd had already spoken to the prosecutor who had agreed to reduce the charge to speeding, with a minimal fine and court fees. I didn't have to say a word! That peace of mind alone was well worth the retainer... well, that and the fact that I still have my license and my insurance premiums did not increase are definite bonuses. I'm a far more cautious driver now, but if I ever find myself in a similar bind, I know who to call.

He wrote the book on Virginia speeding!

I felt very exposed as an out of state driver. I anxiously poured through the 21 pieces of advertisement mail that I received from Virginia area attorneys after getting caught doing 80 in a 55. I was attracted to Spectrum Legal's documentation because it was the most comprehensive. The book Luke in...cluded was a primer on Virgina speed/reckless driving written for the lay man. I was facing a reckless driving charge, jail time and a large fine. I decided to hire Luke. After the free initial consultation I immediately felt that Luke had my best interests at heart. My faith was rewarded -- Luke got my court appearance waived (It would have cost me thousands of dollars for Hotel, Flight, lost time at, etc.) and represented me in court. He got the reckless driver charge pleaded down and I had no licenses suspension with a small fine. I highly recommend Spectrum Legal and Luke Nichols.

Reckless to 19 mph over

I had originally contacted his partner Garrett Green. I was under the assumption that Mr. Green would represent me, however, on Nov. 28, 2011. Mr. Nichols was there and called my name. He talked to the Commonwealth Attorney (CA) and made one deal then spoke with the State Trooper (ST) involved and fo...und out that ST Miskin did not remember me. All he had was his notes. Mr. Nichols advised that we could suggest a new deal or go to trial to get the case dismissed. Since reckless driving is a CRIMINAL offense in Virginia I had asked Mr. Nichols to find out if we could reduce the Criminal to Non-Criminal. If not, then we would go to trial. I had another ticket for Unsafe Lane Change(ULC). In the first deal the CA would drop the ULC and I would plead guilty to the reckless. Mr. Nichols convinced him to let the ULC stand and change the reckless, which was 90 in a 65, to a 84 in a 65, in other words 19 over is a non criminal offense so I accepted the plea.

Strong endorsement for Nichols - reckless driving at excessive speed

Luke Nichols represented me in a reckless driving case involving excessive speed. He provided timely, useful advise that resulted in us being extremely well-prepared: tests on my vehicle, coursework, an in-depth personal interview, etc. Although my case was probably not one of the most severe ones ...he was dealing with, Mr. Nichols was very responsive when I contacted him with my concerns. I could call him and leave him a message, and he's get back with me either that same day or early the next one. He knew the law on reckless driving cases *very* well, and - perhaps more importantly - he knew about the courtroom procedures. It was the first time he had represented anyone in that particular jurisdiction, but he'd done his homework to know exactly where to go, who to talk to, and what to say. I could not ask for a better outcome. If I ever find myself in need of a defense attorney again (and I hope not to), I would not hesitate to hire Luke Nichols.
