I reside in Canada and was a little bit worried about the whole process. But it was super easy and simple than i ever thought!!! Everything was done through by mail/email and they responded on my questions promptly. Even thought my final judgement took a bit more than i expected(7month for me), it wa...s not their fault, was due to backlog in queens county. Prior to receiving this email I'd already recommended 2 individual to your practice, and requested that they say from whom the recommendation came. So I found this service online and from the very first call, I knew I was in good hands. What puzzled me though each time I called the office reques...ting to speak to Daniel Yaniv he was always ready and available to listen and advise me accordingly, Lawyers never have the time to talk to you their secretary does that because they are always in court. Daniel really took time to answer any questions I might have. The process was easy, communication was always on time, and in a very sensitive way. Though they are running a business they never lost sight of the true essence of a divorce, the pain and hurt that comes with and the failure of a union. Divorce is a difficult/ hard thing to deal with . Its a process which is very traumatic. It took me three years to actually decide to file for a divorce, and then when I finally decided, I goggled to find where to go. So many Divorce Lawyers, which can be very overwhelming, My call to Yaniv & Associa...tes was really helpful. I handled my divorce from some distance with this firm. My divorce, initially estimated at 3-4 months, will end up taking just over a year. I was told this was due to backup in the NY courts due to Hurricane Katrina. I never received the initial papers that were to have been sent by postal mail servi...ce to sign and return, only by email. To be sure I wasn't missing other mailed updates and information, I kept checking in with the attorney assigned to me (Abraham Weiss), who was pleasant to work with, and he responded to my requests for current status in a timely manner.
