Bottom of the barrel

My ex husband hired Gina Costello in a contempt case I filed myself and I won, with NO attorney. I dont even have a college degree! Please, she is a bottom of the barrell attorney, your better off representing yourself. She looks like she just rolled out of bed with a hangover while representing y...ou in her living room over zoom, while clearly flustered and not prepared! She will take your money in a case she can't win, then drop you when she looses. There are lots of good attorneys in spokane, don't make the same mistake my ex did.

Makes a nightmare worse and in the end costed us more money than if we hadn’t hired her

Very high strung. She’s great in court, but honestly we only would have paid $1,000 more for the evaluation without her “help” which with how much she costed, we would have saved money overall. I’d wanted a page limit with costs or $1,600. She didn’t do the math right and it ended up being $5,000..., plus all the added “what the heck you’re making the case harder and not even looking at what actual investigations showed.” Honestly it was slightly a nightmare and caused more stress than relief. I really liked the ladies in her office though. They were very helpful and I’d have hired Bella.

Grateful

Gina represented me throughout my divorce for over a year. During one of the most difficult seasons of my life, she remained professional, knowledgeable, efficient, and compassionate. She helped me navigate challenging situations with confidence and made sure I felt heard throughout the entire pro...cess. Gina and her team took the time to understand my needs, my concerns, and what I hoped to achieve for my family. During a time when I felt overwhelmed and uncertain, Gina helped me feel safe throughout the legal process. That support meant more than I can put into words. The outcome of my case affected not only my future, but the future of my children as well. Gina carried that responsibility with great care and dedication. She achieved a favorable outcome in my divorce, ensured child support issues were properly addressed, and advocated for my family every step of the way. Her value as an attorney is truly unmatched. The knowledge, dedication, professionalism, and compassion she brought to my case made an immeasurable difference in our lives. I am deeply grateful for her advocacy, guidance, and support. I highly recommend Gina to anyone looking for an attorney who is both exceptionally skilled and genuinely cares about her clients.

Do not hire her.

I hired Gina after a recommendation from a family friend who was a judge, and I wish I hadn't. Though the staff was very kind and helped me with the parenting plan, it was not sufficient for what my family needed. I didn't know anything and just went along with it. Gina told me that my divorce ...papers would be done in a week and when I called to check on the progress a week and a half later, she yelled at me and said it would be another. It took 3 weeks. I asked for a protection order on a Tuesday and didn't hear anything until I asked her of the status twice and then she got a temporary one. The last straw was when Gina didn't file something with the court and my ex, who had no lawyer, was able to win the argument and got the protection hearing postponed. She charged me the retainer fee and then another 1800 when I found a new attorney for nothing to show.

Don't get hustled by this woman

Zero stars isn't an option. Absolutely the worst experience with an attorney I have ever had. I had one meeting with her that's it during which I prepaid about 70% of her fee. She told me very clearly she wouldn't begin work till paid in full. Well after a month or so I got an invoice billing me for ...the meeting at almost 500$ I thought oww but ok what ever well struggling as a single parent of 4 trying to work full time and keep up on bills I just wasn't quite able to come up with the remaining 1600$ or so of her fee.. well thankfully things worked them selves out and I contacted the office via client portal which is what I was told to use for communication and how I was sent the first invoice. This is were i started getting concerned around 14 days after I requested a return of unused funds I finally get a response telling me I have to wait 30 days. Ok fine no big deal so I wait and the 30 day mark comes around and nothing. No response to communication no anything finally around the 40 day mark I said I would be contacting the bar association and then I got a response a few days later I was told an invoice and refund check was in the mail... I got that today.. almost $2000 is what this woman billed me for some of the dates on the invoice are dates that should of been on the original invoice and since she said she wouldn't start work till paid in full... Not that I think any of this work was actually done but even if it was it shouldn't of been, and it should of been on the invoice originally not back dated and added in a last minute "audit". Anyway long story short a 30 minute meeting cost me and my kids almost $2000 I will be filing a grievance with the bar. Absolutely steer clear of this attorney!
