I am a very small, and inexperienced landlord (one house,) who was faced with a tenant who suddenly seemed to go crazy, convincing himself he owned the place, didn't need to pay rent, letting me know he had guns there and knew how to use them and that I better not show my face there. I contacted Ms. ...Powell's office and they were amazingly helpful. I never had to talk with Ms. Powell directly, but her paralegal did, more than once, and was right there, picking up the phone immediately when I called, explaining how an eviction process worked, what it would cost, seemingly not expensive at all compared with other lawyers I have previously dealt with on other matters. Ms. Powell's paralegal Christi was endlessly patient and helpful, probably spending close to an hour with me over the course of a number of phone calls. Just the info she gave me seems to have been enough for me to convince my crazy tenant that I could and would indeed get him off my property, and he would have an eviction record to dog him forever. The story is not fully over yet, but he appears to be leaving, thanks to all the advice I got. Should I need further help I would hire Ms. Powell in a heartbeat. So, hugely helpful lawyer and team, willing to offer helpful advice to avoid court action without running the meter just to speak with me, and right there to quickly help and go to court if necessary. I can't say enough good about her and her team. They will be my first and only phone call should I ever need legal assistance again. Just really good people!

Called the office, never talked to Elizabeth but someone called Edger who said Elizabeth would work the case due to my location. My previous landlord was trying to keep my deposit and charge me additional for normal wear and tear and for damages present when we moved in. Was told by Edger it was po...ssible the office would take my case on contingency, very encouraging asked for old and new lease and other documents and told I would be called after review in about 3 or 4 days. Documents were sent immediately, after 5 days I emailed asking for a response. On the 7th day I called and was told the paralegal assigned would look into it. A different person -Chris paralegal emailed to say my papers have been sent to a spam folder she would look at them. her next email said it will cost $300 to talk to an attorney- when I asked about what Edgar had said, possible contingency etc. she said "well he never told me that." It will be $300 for a consult let me know if you want to talk to a lawyer and I will send you the paperwork. I asked her to please talk to Edgar as I was confused as to why he wanted all the information and was told Edger was on a family medical leave and would not be back in time to meet the deadline I had before my old landlord sent the bill to collections and now also the other attorney was too busy to see me. Chris was very curt in all her emails and all this time dealing with this office ate up over 3 weeks of the month I had to respond to my previous landlord. Chris did give me 2 other resources to call but one number was constantly busy and the other has not responded to either of my calls. Lauren, who answers their phone was always helpful, as for Elizabeth, I may never know what kind of lawyer she is but I would suggest she get a new paralegal.

Ms. Powell is amazing. After my cat died, I inadvertently made a illegal left hand turn in front of a camera. The fine was in the hundreds of dollars. I was completely bereft and at a loss as to what to do and where to turn. During this extremely difficult time in my life, Ms. Powell's work on my be...half made an incredible difference. I have known Ms. Powell as a vendor. Today I contacted her regarding a landlord/tenant issue. She responded immediately, knew the pertinent laws, knew what needed to be done, and cut straight to the heart of the matter. Ms. Powell is personable, genuine, and conducts herself with integrity. She is ...incredibly knowledgeable about property law. You can't ask for a better person to help you when dealing with property matters.
