Successful outcome

Thanks so much Elizabeth for a successful outcome in my recent litigation with a landlord who without reason or proof tried to keep my deposit money. This landlord tried to exploit the fact that I could not travel back to WA due to COVID and had to move out with the assistance of others. The landlord... did not follow any kind of process for move-out, ignoring the move-in documentation and fraudulently tried to claim the entire apartment needed painting and cleaning - neither of which was necessary or even proven by them to be needed. Elizabeth successfully demonstrated that this goes against law and I won a settlement. Excellent outcome!

Most horrible advice ever!

We received a summons, and were facing a no-cause eviction so we gave Ms. Powell a call. We also emailed a 2-page detailed document explaining our situation. It was obvious she did not read or understand our situation as stated in the document, as her advice was absolutely horrible. First, she sai...d if the landlord took it to trial, and it will tank our credit. Well, it would not tank our credit, as it had nothing to do w/ non-payment of rent or money - this was a NO-CAUSE eviction. Secondly, when I asked about the landlord putting the wrong address on the lease, she said the incorrect address would have "no traction at all." However, this played a huge role in our defense as the landlord was committing bank fraud by claiming our rental was owner occupied. He switched the address on our lease to his physical address so he could claim our rental as his residence. Thirdly, the lease was never properly executed. The landlord emailed us a copy, we signed and emailed it back but never received a signed copy in return. Her advice was that we should just move out before we could be evicted. We hired another lawyer who listened to our story and was extremely confident we had a strong case. He turned out to be a godsend and we won with flying colors. Do yourself a favor, if you have a case with a variety of twists & turns like we had, find another lawyer who can handle something more complicated. Perhaps Ms Powell could not handle it or did not care, as after our first call and a couple of email exchanges, she never bothered to return any further calls from us.

Landlord tenant

So I called and Elizabeth about toxic mold in my apt. She immediately to me codes RCWs and even before speaking about fees etc.. she stated she was contacting either my big wig management companies lawyers or the management office. Never ever mentioning payment as of yet. However If she did I would h...ave no problem. I 100% trust her as she is knowledgeable and seems to be an attorney no company would want to deal with. I’d give her 10 stars however I’m only allowed 5. The end result isn’t here yet but I’m pretty confidant she will help me either alone or with her help get the achieves move/ compensation I deserve.
