Nan truly is the Queen of the Court!

I have an extensive criminal record all from past stupid mistakes. Once I "grew up" and realized that I needed to become the man I knew I could be I changed my life around. Recently I had an argument with my wife and the police were called. I was immediately arrested for domestic battery (I think ...mostly due to myself having two strikes) and went to jail. I bailed out of jail and immediately started looking for an attorney. I talked to a few and they all seemed like they were ready to plea bargain with the DA. After talking to Nan, I knew she was the one I would go with. She actually talked to me like a human and seemed genuinely concerned about my case. That's all I needed! I hired her on the spot! She talked with my wife and found out the truth in the case and worked with us to eventually have the DA discharge the case! Nan is truly a nice person and great attorney! My title says "Queen of the Court" Because she has that on a plaque above her door in her office. At first I thought it funny. But now I believe its true. Nan has such a good rapport with the court officials that they do listen to her! Thank you so much Nan! I really thought that a person with my background was going to have the book thrown at me. But I was worried for nothing!

Would recommend Nan to family

I could not have asked for a better DUI lawyer than Nan Bucknell. She handles all types of cases and knows when or where you might actually have a case. She is incredibly punctual as well as a sweetheart that guides you through the waste of time and money that is getting a DUI. For my case, I had... a very high BAC at .20. Long before my court date I met with Nan to figure out how I might be able to still have a licence to drive. She guided me through the process of getting a restricted licence at my own convenience. If your blood tests a .2 or higher then you have to go through the never-ending 9-12 month DUI class, but anything under that is a simple 3 month class. she recognized this and thought that it was worth the time and money to get my blood retested, just to see if the blood gets below a .2 the second time around. Santa Clara retested my blood and it came back a .19. She was able to use this evidence and convince the judge to give me only the 3 month program. THANK GOODNESS. Another thing, whenever you call this woman she will answer- sign of a good lawyer Really, if you are looking for a DUI lawyer, Nan goes above and beyond her job and really cares about the people that come into her office looking for her help. I would recommend family to her, she's awesome.

Outstanding outcome, 5 years to 3 months! Would recommend to any friends/family

I've never had trouble with the law before. One night, I made a bad decision to drive after drinking at dinner and lost control of my car. My passenger died as a result and I was facing a DUI manslaughter charge with at least 5 years in prison. While searching for an attorney, I had met with multipl...e attorney firms, but settled with Nan based on her reviews and experience in DUI cases. Other larger attorney firms felt cold and treated me as just a "client", but Nan was very personable and I immediately felt like I was family with her. Most of all, Nan had made my father feel comfortable with my case by keeping us informed about the entire process every step of the way. Nan and her expertise in the law led to us to feel very assured that she would do everything that she could to help us through the case. Nan has held my hand through every difficult step of my case and allowed me to see what her past clients have seen in her. She cares about her clients and knows that our success is her success. Before and after every court appearance, I would meet with Nan to review what to expect and what I needed to do/provide to build my case. I felt well prepared and confident every time I had an appearance in court. When I had an appointment with the probation officer, she fully briefed me with what to expect; Nan even came along so that I wouldn't have to face it alone. As someone who had no idea how the California Justice system worked, scared and not knowing what about what to expect, she was by my side with every step of the way. I was told by other attorneys, given my case, that I could expect a 2-Year sentence. Working with Nan, I was sentenced for only 3 months!!! An unbelievable result that I feel is only possible because I had Nan by my side to guide me every step of the way. I would recommend Nan to anyone in trouble with a DUI related case and who is willing to do everything she says. She's honest, realistic, and direct to the point during our discussions. Thank you Nan!

DUI Case

My case was regarding a DUI situation in Santa Clara County. I was lost , depressed, felt pretty crappy with this situation. And then I met Nan! She made everything so much easier to handle and always made sure I stayed positive throughout the process. I honestly thought there was no hope until ...I contacted her. She was very attentive and considerate since it was my first DUI. She always stayed in touch and made sure I knew all the details regarding my case. And to be honest she is a pretty awesome person! I would definitely recommend her to others going through a similar situation as mines. Also I thought I would be dealing with court hearings and trails regarding my case but I NEVER had to deal with court hearings or coming into court , she took care of everything for me ! She is truly a helpful and caring individual. You can tell she loves what she does and she is very passionate about her work.

Dui client

She was a tremendous help in calming my fears and reassuring me I wouldn't see a jail cell. Community service and some fines and it's already a year behind me. I highly recommend Nan, she actually cares and is truly in your corner.
