I hired Vincent for an out of county DUI. He was not very effective because he did not know the background of local judges. Apparently, the judge I had never ruled against the police department for any motion to suppress. Also, before my motion to suppress, Vincent told me it had been continued. T...he day of, he told me it was going forward, and there was no way for me to make it on time (I lived four hours away). Then he blamed me for not appearing. I’m sure he did the best he could, as I know he is a great trial lawyer, but I should have hired a local attorney to move to disqualify the judge. I was also disappointed at how slow discovery was given to us, and believe they withheld dash cams from us (they claimed only 1 of the 3 dashcams worked). Also, the breathalyzer malfunctioned and those records were never requested. At the same time, you can’t really blame the attorney for trying hard on your case when you pay a small retainer of $5k and expect a great defense. Solo practitioners are busy. In the middle of my representation, I remember he wanted to get an offer for wet reckless. I ended up hiring another attorney who did that for me in less than one month, after Vincent lost the motion to suppress. Vincent is a great trial lawyer, but in my case, it worked against me.

Hired Vince for a assault with a fire arm case. These cops were so dirty and Vince was not scared one bit. He exposed them and their short cuts to pin something on me that was not cool. Vince put the smack down and treated them worse than they treated me. These officers did not even see it comin, ...or even have the same attitude with me once they realized who I had hired. Suisun PD is a joke. In the end I was found NOT GUILTY at trial. Without Vince i would no doubt be in prison or jail still. Hire Vince, you will not regret it, and you will thank me later.

Mr. Maher was excellent, I met with him twice and we worked out my situation where I had been accused of furnishing alcohol to a minor. My visit with Mr. Maher was very personable and pleasant and I felt confident he was going to be able to help me when I left his office. Ultimately, he was able to g...et my case completely dismissed! I am 100% satisfied with his work and would recommend to anyone in this type of situation.
