Thank You Josh Price!!!

Summer of 2020, months after the world shut down due to Covid-19, I experienced my first DUI. I am still humbled by the day, and my poor choice to get into my car and think that I was okay to drive. I will begin by saying that I am so grateful that I did not get hurt, or hurt someone else. I did ...not need to research a DUI attorney. I called a friend who I knew had gone through a very stressful, extreme case with his DUI. He turned to Josh Price, based off a referral from someone else, years earlier that we both know as well. I had remembered a few years back, how my friend spoke so highly of "his attorney." His case worked out amazing, and so I didn't even second guess my choice to reach out and get Josh Price's information. For a first time offense, I had a few factors with my case that were very stressful. My BAC was a .30, after the blood work came back. I had zero food on board that day, had only two cups of strong coffee and drank hard alcohol, which I never do. I struck a parked car, that thank God, nobody was even so much as sitting in. It was a residential area, and I panicked. I got turned around and realized I needed to stop and get parked. I was pulled over, and the rest was surreal. I reached out to Josh Price the next day, sad and embarrassed to try and remember the details, which I felt like I was in total shock doing so. Josh took my case on and from here, I will address my experience with how me and my case were both treated. From the beginning of my experience, I was not only treated so respectfully, and the professionalism was incredible. Both Josh, and Amanda, his paralegal, should get "tips" for their kind listening skills and almost therapist type virtues. They never once made me feel "judged," which was so appreciated. They guided me with suggestions and possible worst case scenarios, to least. With my case, my fear was the fact that I drove a short distance away from the car that I struck. I was so scared that things could escalate to a hit and run. Josh was firm, but down to earth. I had friends ask why I paid an attorney, and I believe they thought I got one, thinking I was going to get of of a DUI. This was so far from it! I wanted to make sure I did everything I needed to do right. It was covid, and I wanted to have nothing slip through the cracks so to speak. I did not think I was going to get out of a DUI. I made a poor choice, and the BAC was evidence, yet having Josh Price guide me through the whole process made things feel right. End result, I did everything with the time I had to wait, due to everything being pushed out due to covid. SMART meetings, MADD, and a number of other suggestions. Josh showed up on my behalf and was always quick to answer his phone personally, as Amanda did as well. He got the DMV to drop the hit and run, I got ordered to do a DUI program of course, but no alcohol monitoring orders, even with the high BAC. Both Josh and Amanda were available to answer any questions I had, and they educated me on so many levels of what I needed to be mindful of with moving forward with my life following this event. Two things stand out for me through this entire experience, which are the following; Josh has paperwork that you fill out when you become a client. The last question asks you, "what is your hope for the outcome of your case?" The other is MADD, my takeaway is that there really is no excuse to drink and drive. The answer to Josh's paperwork, to this day is still the same. I wanted the outcome to be for my highest good. I made a choice that the result was a DUI. It was humbling, and scary for me. I took it serious, and once again am so grateful nobody got hurt. MADD, again... in my case, I have the power of choice to remember there is no excuse to drink and drive. Thank you Josh and Ama

DUI charges dropped w/ BAC .15 and accident

I made the poor decision to drink and drive one night. As a health professional, I had no idea of the impact that this would have on my career. I frantically called around after my incident and spoke with several attorneys. I ultimately decided to go with Mr. Price and it was the best decision that I... have ever made. My DUI got dropped to a Wet Reckless even though my BAC was .15 and an accident occurred. Mr. Price and Amanda always got back to me promptly and both were always available to answer any questions. Josh also went above and beyond in helping me navigate my issues with my professional license. Even if he did not know the answers to some of my questions, he enlisted help from his colleagues (licensing attorneys) to get the answers that I needed to make a more informed decision. I highly recommend Mr. Joshua Price and I cannot thank him enough.

Happy with the results in a tough situation

Last December, I got the call no parent ever wants to receive. I had a message that my college-aged son had been arrested after falling asleep while blocking a traffic lane with a .12 BAC. In panic mode, I was trying to figure out bail, where the car was, and what to do next. I searched for reviews t...o find a good attorney. I narrowed the list down and started to make calls. Josh took time to call me on a Sunday afternoon and calmly talked me through the next steps. Anything over .10 BAC is hard to get dismissed or reduced to a "wet and reckless." COVID caused a delay in the process, but Josh took care of all the details, court appearances, and communication. A DUI would have meant serious consequences and could have impacted finding a job after college. Josh suggested making a plea for a wet and reckless. He made no promises that the prosecutors would accept a plea deal. Thankfully, Josh was able to secure the plea deal. As a result, my son's probation, fines, and consequences were not as severe as a DUI. A wet and reckless is still serious and requires, MADD and first offenders' course, a shorter probation, and 2 points on his driving record. Josh was also able to negotiate 40 hours of community service. I am thankful he was able to help my son get a less severe charge. Josh explained that not only do you have to face court charges, but you must also face the DMV separately. Even if you "win" your court case, the DMV can still restrict driving privileges. Two officers appeared at the DMV hearing. Josh was able to win the DMV case and show discrepancies in timelines in their testimonies. As a result, the DMV granted full driving privileges! Throughout the process, Josh worked to answer my questions, provide resources for obtaining an SR-22 that were needed to drive until the DMV case was won. He was willing to answer my questions and give us honest and realistic expectations of possible outcomes. This arrest was one of the worse moments of our lives, but I am glad Josh was able to help us navigate the legal ramifications with the best possible outcomes.

So Glad I Found Josh

There are not enough words to express my gratitude towards Josh Price and his firm. First off, let me start by saying that I spent hours researching and speaking with different lawyers before I chose Mr. Price. While I was overall impressed with the level of response I received over the weekend from ...multiple lawyers wanting my business my gut instinct led me to choose Josh as the lawyer I wanted to defend me. Josh called me back over a weekend he was on vacation and spent quite a bit of time on the phone with me explaining the process and getting the details of my case. He, unlike other lawyers I had spoken with already had a game plan for how he was going to fight my case. As anyone fighting a DUI knows you are up against 2 fights. One with the courts and one with the DMV. Josh had a fire in his voice and I just knew that if anyone could find the best outcome for me it would be him. I would also like to mention that I was pulled over in Riverside but am a resident in San Diego. The city of Riverside is a different jurisdiction and in many cases a tougher fight than the City of San Diego when it comes to DUI’s. I was a little nervous at first choosing a lawyer outside the city of Riverside, concerned that he may not know how to navigate the system as well as San Diego but I was wrong and again so glad that I trusted my gut and chose Josh. Josh is not the cheapest lawyer you will find or the most expensive. His price is fair and well worth every penny. He was up front and clear with me regarding what was covered in the flat retainer fee I paid to him to fight my case and what fees were outside of that. My case took almost a year to resolve and Josh stayed in communication with me the entire time as he navigated me through the process. He and his firm were available day and night to answer my questions and help me through one of the most difficult times of my life. To provide some further context, this was a first offense DUI with .09% PAS & 08/.08 evidential breath. I had a squeaky clean driving record prior to this event. Josh went to court for me multiple times and was able to get the Prosecutor to agree to dismiss the DUI charges in exchange for a plea to alcohol related reckless driving (wet and reckless). My court case took about 3 months to resolve but we were still up against the DMV. The DMV battle took almost a year to resolve but Josh did not back down. He gathered all the evidence he needed to fight my DMV case and was able to win my DMV hearing saving my license! No license suspension, no IID, nothing! This has been a humbling experience and not a situation anyone wants to find themselves in but if you do find yourself in this unfortunate situation….CALL JOSH!! And next time CALL UBER!!!

Law office of Joshua Price

Let me start off by saying DUI had to be the most horrific experience I ever had. I never been arrested and never been in trouble with the law in the past. This experience was definitely eye opening and life changing. Last year I was arrested at the border coming back from wine country in Mexico. It ...was late and tired from the drive and hadn’t had a drink for a couple hours so I figured I was ok to drive. I get to the border and after interaction with the customs officer I was escorted to secondary. I didn’t realize at the time I was being arrested for suspicion of DUI. They order me out of the car and I fail all field sobriety tests. Taken to CHP offices and blow a .14 and a .13. I am arrested and booked. After the shock and after spending the night in jail I return home knowing I have to get an attorney. Unfortunately, for me my job requires a clean driving record and I am in jeopardy of losing my career. I do some research and start looking for attorneys. I came across Josh Price and I can’t begin to tell you how grateful and fortunate I was to pick Josh for my case. I had talked to friends in the past and knew I was fighting an uphill battle. First offense with that high BAC level mandatory suspension of DL, fines, insurance rates etc. but more importantly I lose my job. I had no choice but to try and save my career fight the charges and go to trial. Let me say that Josh knows his law. From picking a jury to bringing in special witnesses and most importantly knowing all the the rights of a defendant and laws of DUI. We didn’t get the most cooperative Judge, we also had the cards stacked against us because of my high BAC. I have to say none of that mattered, Josh was a bulldog in court, he fought for me and gave me a chance and was all I was asking for considering the circumstances and the reality of my .14 BAC. He walked me through the whole process worked with me when I needed guidance and was always available to me. Mr. Price never gave me false hope and was painfully honest with me. He said it will be a fight. He came to court everyday prepared and started chipping away at the prosecutors case. He was very personable and the jury understood him and our case. Forward to judgement day, the jury comes back and finds me not guilty of all charges!! I can’t say enough about Josh and his commitment to my case and his expertise is second to none. Obviously everyone’s DUI is going to have different circumstances but know that this man is going to give you his all and your best shot at it beating your DUI. I now have my license back kept my job and will be endlessly grateful to this man. Thank you Josh!!
