A Man Who Has Perfected His Craft

I was fortunate to find Mr Cole Casey. After consulting from one attorney to the next I quickly became overwhelmed. Lawyer after lawyer all I heard were sales pitches. Nothing but a bunch of businessmen and women making a sale. I had the book thrown at me from other lawyers with their jargon and scar...e tactics that made everything more hectic and confusing than it already was. I was not looking to be sold to. It felt insulting. This seemed to be the nature of the business but never for Mr Cole Casey. He was the exact opposite. He is an honest man of initiative. This is an important quality to look for in a lawyer as you never want to miss a deadline at some point in the process because they simply forgot or did not show up to your hearing. It was something as simple as him being the only lawyer to be able to schedule an in person consultation and asses my situation more closely and personally compared to the other lawyers. With honesty he stated that I did not need his services for my situation was not severe and only a misdemeanor dui. There was a lot of truth in that; however, I believed that the money is well spent towards an individual I trusted and I never regretted my reasoning. The day I retained Mr Cole Casey some of the lawyers I consulted previously were curious who I hired. As I mentioned his name, they quickly expressed exhaustion out of options and defeat. One even commented "Wow. Cole Casey is the best in the DUI business. You have a great attorney in your hands. Good luck to your case Adrian." So there you have it, even some of his colleagues can confirm his confidence. More so his confidence held true the entire time. Not once did I second guess him. Mr Cole Casey walked me through all the steps and constantly updated me on his defense. If he requires supporting documentation to formulate a compelling argument then by no means provide them. Letters of recommendations, transcripts, forms, you name it. He does not play games and neither should you. He provides a his number so you may contact him or use his online web portal if you have other dire questions. I have gained great respect for him and Lauren Angelos and I can see why they are the best in the business. I cannot imagine hiring anyone else but him. One defining moment was when he expressed that I must excel to become the best I can be especially in these hard times and allow him to handle the rest... and I did exactly just that. Both work and school fell into place with the court dates and it was oddly painless. I excelled. I built character. I felt like an autonomous individual part of society once again and this was while my case was still pending. Fast forward to several several months Mr Cole Casey was able to obtain a wet & reckless plea bargain which was the favorable outcome I had hoped for. I do not believe in miracles or luck but I do believe in hard work and Mr Cole Casey is proof of that. Make no mistake to call Mr Cole Casey if you or someone you know are in need of his services. He is my personal referral if any family or friend fall within the same situation as I have.

1st Time DUI

My son received a DUI 5 days ago (1st offense) and after numerous calls to other SD attorneys, we were very skeptical about the information that the lawyers were telling us and the information we were reading online about DUI cases. I can not tell you how BLESSED we were to find Mr. Casey's name on ...AVVO. Although you will see many lawyers that are also listed with over 100 reviews and 5 stars, but Mr. Casey stood out above the others because of the detail in the Reviews that we read. I wasn't sure what to expect since we had already been given such conflicting information from the other attorneys that we contacted. We had been told over and over that the only way to handle the DUI is to higher a lawyer, someone who knows the system and will do all of these things for you (fees ranged from $4000. to $10,000) and will make false promises to get your money. Mr. Casey personally took my call and was the 1st lawyer to give me the "Real Truth" about what will happen. He did not try to get money out of me to pay him to do something that we didn't need to do. Instead, he took the time to explain the process step by step and gave me very specific information regarding when to take care of these things. I did not need to hire him or any other attorney because the circumstances surrounding the DUI charge were going to be the same whether I hired an attorney or went with the FREE Public Defender. He said "why pay him or any other lawyer if I don't need to." I am sure there may be some 1st time offenders that have a situation that might warrant a lawyer, but don't fall into the traps that will be waiting for you. Call Mr. Casey and you can rest assured that he will be Honest with you. In my eyes, this man represents what every Lawyer should be. The simple fact that Mr. Casey took my call, took the time to explain what needed to be done, gave me the timeline to do those things and DID NOT try to take my money unnecessarily was the 1st sense of relief that I have had for the past week. I almost wish there was a need to utilize Mr. Casey because I believe he truly is the man that will fight for your life if needed and is the person that I would want representing me. He is absolutely 100% genuine and should be used as a model for other lawyers. Call Mr. Casey and you will see for yourself that this is truly a lawyer that is doing what should be done and will TELL YOU THE TRUTH!!!!

Cole Casey and Lauren saved my ass

Back in late October of 2015, I made a really stupid decision to drive home after hours of social drinking with my colleagues at a work gathering. The get-together was held in Point Loma, an area I'm quite unfamiliar with. After getting lost trying to find the 5 freeway to get home, I ended finding ...myself pulled over at the guard station of Point Loma Naval Station at 3AM. Clearly under the influence, I ended up being arrested for a DUI. Embarrassed and very humiliated, I immediately worried about how this would affect my family and healthcare-related occupation. I had a pristine track record up to this point. After consulting with close friends, I made the decision to call a few attorneys to find out if the damage could at least be lessened. I knew it would be a DUI due to the BAC I blew. The first 2 attorneys I contacted heard my story and ultimately let me know, "we can represent you but please understand, this will be a DUI almost certainly...you blew a very high BAC. As for the federal court nature of the case, we need to investigate the process. This is something we haven't seen". The third call was to Cole Casey. He was the only attorney I spoke to that had the experience to explain the differences between being arrested on state vs. federal property. He promised nothing but gave me assurances that he would work to keep this from affecting my career and limit the blow as much as possible. He listened and asked the right questions about my background, occupation, and family. Fast forward 8 months and several court dates.... I got a call from Lauren. She informed me that I needed to sit down with Cole and go over the case progress. She implied "I think you will be very pleased". I met with Cole the following week and was notified of the news. NO DUI!!!!! Folks, I blew a very high BAC number. Please, please do yourself a favor. Call Cole Casey and discuss your case. He and Lauren handled everything for me. They stayed in high communication and saved my career!! I ended up having to do 12 AA classes, a Victim impact Panel, and a $500 fine. No DMV involvement, no Interlock, no DUI! Thank you Cole and Lauren!

First the worst, Second the BEST...

I want to start off by saying that I would give Mr. Casey an infinite amount of stars on this review if possible. I was charged with my second DUI in July of 2015. I made the mistake of first going to a lawyer that made my case a thousand times more difficult and stressful than it needed to be. ...I caught my case in Newport Beach. BAC was .24. I had resided in San Diego at the time, but was planning on moving to Murrieta. (3 different counties involved) My first lawyer did not let the courts know that I was moving to another county, thus making Secured Electronic Confinement a huge mess. I was told to pay all of my fines, enroll in the 18 month DUI program, get a breathalyzer in my vehicle, and get into a house arrest program. My first lawyer did not tell me how to go about getting on house arrest, but instead stated that i needed to appear at the Newport Jail on a specific date. I found out that day (by calling around) that I was going to be booked into jail to serve a 100 day sentence if I showed up, and if I didn't, there would be a warrant out for my arrest. I did not go in, per my first lawyers advice and I went and got on the SCRAM program for house arrest through San Diego County. This got me a warrant and at least 8 more court hearings and the case had gone through 3 different judges. All of them wanted to throw me in jail and told me that the program I was on was not in compliance with Newport County and that I had wasted my time and money by getting on this program. The last court date with my first lawyer did not go very well. The judge wanted to throw me in jail for 2 weeks to 2 months, and ordered me to come back one last time for a final decision. At this point (9 months from my first sentencing date) I was beyond stressed, disappointed with my misrepresentation from my first lawyer, and completely hopeless. A friend of mine recommended that I speak with Mr. Casey and tell him my situation to see if there was anything else I could do, since I had complied with every single part of my sentencing aside from the incorrect information and council I was given about the house arrest program. At this point, I had been on the SCRAM house arrest and alcohol monitoring system for 70 days. Mr. Casey met with me, reviewed my case, found all of the errors from my first lawyer, and agreed to take my case and go with me to my last court hearing. The possibilities of the judges' decision that Mr. Casey and I discussed were the following: 1- I would have to re-do my 100 day house arrest sentence on a program that the courts found in compliance. 2- The judge would see that I have been doing everything i knew to be correct to fix my mistake and let me finish out the 30 days of house arrest that I had left. and 3 - That the judge would see that I was misrepresented, given false information, was doing everything that I could, and would take into consideration the "double time" allowance for my sentence and let me be done with everything. I'm not going to lie - I did expect to have to re-do my sentence, but if it kept me out of jail and still able to keep my job, that is what I would have to do. Mr. Casey went into the Judges' chambers for what seemed like forever, and when he came out he let me know that he got me the best case scenario that we had discussed. My sentence was satisfied and I was allowed to FINALLY get my house arrest anklet off. Since I had done everything else that I was supposed to, I now am only having to finish out my DUI program and have the breathalyzer in my vehicle. Not only did Mr. Casey respectfully and honestly present my case/situation the judge and get me the best case scenario, he also cleaned up the mess from my previous lawyer. There are not enough words to express my gratitude and appreciation for him and I would recommend him to everyone. So, like I said... first (lawyer) the worst, and the second (lawyer) the absolute best. Thank you so so so very much!!!

Low bac first offense

Cole got me a decreased charge of wet reckless by plea bargain with a Low bac first time offense. Handled all the dmv and court appearances without me present. Communicated well through whole process about what to expect and what I would have to do with regard to fines, meetings , classes etc...to ...comply with court ordered punishment. The experience was horrible but would have been worse without Cole and his teams help. Cost was a little more than some other options but worth it in my opinion.
